I began my legal career at the Washington State Court of Appeals, learning how judges decide cases and honing my research and writing skills. I then moved to the Washington State Office of Public Defense, where I was in charge of overseeing and training the state’s appellate public defenders. For more than ten years I worked with some of the best appellate attorneys in the state, helping them level up their skills and learning from them in turn.
