I grew up in Ypsilanti and Livonia and always wanted to be a lawyer.  Working and volunteering since I was 14, I started my first business when I was in high school.  As a new young lawyer, I began my career byI founding LEAP – Lawyers for Equal Access Project, Inc. to help people with moderate means who could not afford standard attorney rates.  Since then, I served on many legal committees, associations, and boards, usually focusing on poverty and animal issues.. My career and passion focused on Animal Law and Poverty Law for several decades. My private practice focuses on animal welfare and dog law, in particular, although I handle a variety of cases in criminal, traffic, family, and probate law.  If I can't help you, I can find someone who can!. My life has been varied and expansive, including my 3 daughters, who pursued their own passions in STEM areas, including a veterinarian, cybersecurity, and transplant interests.  I have a multi-generational household, which includes my first grandchild, a small farm, and my beloved dogs.  While the dogs in my photo no longer are with us, their genes are, including Caleb's son Zeke, who is a Service Dog for my daughter.
