Gerald R. Villarrial has practiced family law, criminal law and civil litigation for over 20 years.. Gerald has lived in Waco his entire life. He graduated from Baylor University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and with a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University School of Law in 1994. From December 1994 to December 1995, Gerald began his career as a staff attorney for the Heart of Texas Legal Aid where he handled divorces and custody cases. From January 1995 to September 1999, Gerald worked for the law firm of Reyna & Reyna, P. C. as an associate attorney. While at Reyna & Reyna, P. C., Gerald handled cases involving family law, criminal law and civil litigation. FAMILY. I was born in Waco, Texas and even though I moved around a bit, in the end I decided to come home to settle down.  I live in Waco with my wife, Cindy, with whom I have been married to since 2002 and our son, Edgar.  We have several pets (two cats, a dog, a fish, and a lizard) and spend our free time watching movies, camping, or just hanging out together.. PRE-LAW. After graduating college in 1999, I worked in the computer industry in and around the Dallas area until my son was born in 2002. I earned several technical certifications on a variety of hardware and software platforms.  I usually worked for small businesses while in Dallas as a network operations manager, but I also taught a two separate technical schools.  While I was teaching, I helped my students prepare for a job in the information technology industry.  It was hear that I first discovered my passion for helping people.  When I left the I.T. field, I decided that I wanted to work directly with people and see if there was anything that I could to help them, so I started working as an insurance agent.  Eventually, I decided that I wanted to have more of an impact on peoples' lives.  This is when I decided to go to law school and become a lawyer.. LAW SCHOOL. I started Baylor Law School in the fall of 2005.  I immediately knew that being a lawyer was what I was meant to be.  Throughout law school I learned everything that I could about how to better serve my future clients.  Because I knew that I wanted to work for myself when I graduated, I picked only the classes that were needed for my future law career, earning a Criminal Concentration and a General Civil Litigation Concentration upon my graduation in May 2008 with a Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School.. CLIENTS. I believe that my best attribute when dealing with my clients is my ability to listen and inform my clients of their options.  I may be their lawyer, but it is their case and their life.

Brandon is the former Felony Division Chief of the McLennan County District Attorney's Office and a former Dallas County Prosecutor.  Now in private practice, he will use that decade of experience in the DA's office to protect the rights of citizens accused or those injured because of someone else's negligence.. In 2000, he graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, graduating with a class rank of first out of 757. Following college, he worked as a McLennan County Probation Officer from 2001-2002. In 2004, he graduated from Baylor Law School. While at Baylor Law, he was invited to join the Baylor Law Review, an honor extended only to those who are in the top 15% of their law school class. He served the Baylor Law Review as an Executive Editor. Following graduation from law school, he worked as a staff attorney at the Brazos River Authority from 2004-2006. While at the BRA, he practiced law in many areas including, water rights, real estate, oil and gas, municipal and contract law. In 2006, he was hired by then District Attorney John Segrest and immediately began handling both misdemeanor and felony cases. When current District Attorney Abel Reyna took office in 2011, J.R. was promoted to Chief Felony Prosecutor in Waco’s 19th District Court, where he served until his departure from the district attorney’s office in 2014.
