Kissinger was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, and grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  He received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992 with majors in Accounting and Urban Land Economics.  While completing his undergraduate course work, he served in the United States Army Reserves, and was called to active duty during the Desert Storm phase of the Persian Gulf War.. He completed all requirements to become a CPA, and earned the CPA designation while working at International Paper in Memphis, Tennessee, as a financial analyst, manager of logistics and internal auditor.  He then worked for United Health Group as an internal auditor in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and Manager of Medicare Compliance in Chicago, Illinois.  He attended William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, and earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree.  He has been practicing law in Wisconsin since then and is also licensed to practice in Minnesota.. Attorney Kissinger is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Elder Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin.. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, Wisconsin, and currently serves as secretary for the Board..
