Attorney Reis was born in Angola. She immigrated to the USA in 1987. Early in her work career she worked as a Clerk for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Probate Part for 5 1/2 years, where she gained extensive experience in Court procedures. Thereafter, she was a paralegal for approximately 17 years for a local law firm. During that time she completed her undergrad studies and law school, while working full-time and studying in night classes. She received her BS in Psychology from Rutgers University and her J.D. from Rutgers Law School – Newark. As an immigrant, she always had a passion to help immigrants through the complicated immigration system. She believes that each client should be treated with dignity and respect.
