I am a person who was encouraged to be independent by my parents. I am an only child who matured quickly, because my parents took me everywhere. Today I love to spend lots of time with family, friends, my husband and pets.. Travel is something that provides me with a lot of enjoyment and gives me another opportunity to practice independence. I had lots of experience learning to cope while spending the summer of 2005 traveling in France and other European countries. That summer had a very positive impact on my life and helped me grow by developing the ability to thrive in a country where I could not speak the language.  I have since traveled out of the country to Costa Rica and Spain.. I love to cook and it is important to me to have a family meal every night, if possible.  I usually don't cook from recipes but rather enjoy trying to figure out how things are made on my own.. Henry D.
