Robert Hemphill has been practicing personal injury law in Winter Park since 1997.  Upon graduating from the University of Florida with an Honors Degree in Finance in 1993, he furthered his education at the University of Florida College of Law.  Originally he hoped to utilize his Finance degree as a basis to study and practice corporate law.  However, after various opportunities in law school, he became interested in civil litigation and personal injury law.. Summer Clerkships with Orange County Circuit Judge, Hon. Walter Komanski, and the law firm of Martinez & Dalton, P.A. exposed him to the world of personal injury litigation.   After graduating from the University of Florida College of Law with honors, Mr. Hemphill took a job as an associate with the prestigious Winter Park law firm of Troutman, Williams, et al.  He honed his skills at the Troutman firm working with some of the best trial lawyers in the State of Florida.  He became a partner with the firm in 2003 and continued to represent victims of auto accidents until he became a founding partner of the law firm of Cullen & Hemphill, PLC in 2011.. Mr. Hemphill and his law partner, Kim Cullen, continue to practice personal injury law in their Winter Park office.  They are proud to have practiced only personal injury law on behalf of individuals.  “In the adversarial system of justice it is important that individuals and families have competent counsel to represent their interests against powerful businesses and insurance companies. “  Hemphill said. “Nothing gives me more satisfaction than being able to help someone who has been seriously injured.  It is very rewarding to lift the burden of dealing with the insurance companies from them and allow them to focus on getting healthy and returning to their pre-accident lifestyle.”. When he is not practicing law Mr. Hemphill enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Julie and Daughters, Lindsay and Allison.  He and his wife are also very active in their community of Baldwin Park.  They are co-founders and charter Board Members of a non-profit company called Brightside Events.  Brightside Events organizes various events and donates 100% of the proceeds generated at the events to its Stock The Pantry program that helps supply food to needy children during extended breaks when they are unable to take advantage of the free lunch program.  One of the most popular events they organize is the Doggie Derby of Baldwin Park.  The canine race was inspired the Hemphills' dog, Foster.
