As a young man, I learned that there can be a beauty in the order that law seeks to create as I first began to contemplate what it means to be part of a government that, at least in theory, strove to be “of the people, by the people, for the people.” In my early 20s I came face to face with true injustice as I served in the United States Marine Corps as a Reconnaissance Marine and fought for the often unrealized ideals this Country was founded upon.. For me the practice of law is something that enables me, through my profession, to use the God-given talents and abilities I possess to help people: to help people navigate a system of laws and process that is unfortunately and increasingly complex; to help people evaluate and effectively plan their business and personal affairs; and when necessary, to help people engage, defend, or pursue a legal negotiation or battle with strategy, wisdom, and grace.. When I am not working, I am usually quite content to be spending time with my wife, my children, and my friends.
