I hate injustice. My passion for justice led me to law school and endures today. The desire to see justice, along with a healthy dose of compassion, led me to a career helping those who have been injured or wrongly denied insurance coverage. During law school, I worked as an intern for the (legendary in Oklahoma legal circles) Rex Travis. My wife and I met Mr. Travis a few years before I went to law school when our insurance company balked at paying our claim after our family home burned. Mr. Travis had the claim resolved two weeks later. Later, first as an intern, and then as an attorney, at the Travis firm, I worked hands-on with Mr. Travis, helping people with real injuries and real insurance problems, while learning my profession from the best. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2005 and worked with and practiced alongside Mr. Travis until October 2017 when I opened my own firm. Let me put my passion and experience to work for you. If you, or someone you know needs help, call me at the Law Office of Paul Kouri at.

I come from humble beginnings. My father quit high school in order to help his father feed the family by working construction. His work ethic was second to none, and allowed him to become vice president of a division of the construction firm he worked for. I owe a great deal to my parents for the opportunities they provided to me, and the work ethic they instilled in me. I understand and appreciate how the family fabric can be torn apart by a devastating injury caused by the carless actions of another, and I simply cannot, and will not, tolerate an insurance company or corporation avoiding compensating an injured victim for injuries caused by their actions.
I believe trust is the key ingredient to a successful attorney-client relationship. I hope to earn yours through hard-work and open communication. Call for a free initial consultation.
I became a criminal defense attorney because I am intimately familiar with how precious our constitutional rights are. After my arrest years ago, I realized how close I was to being in a situation that could have negatively impacted my life forever. That situation made me realize how important it is to have someone on your side who feels strongly about protecting those rights.. In the Air Force, I put my life on the line to support and defend the Constitution during war. Today, I support and defend the Constitution in the courtroom. My legal career began by representing indigent clients. I saw first-hand how important it is for everyone to have legal representation. This is why I make every effort to make my services available to as many people as possible.
I became a criminal defense attorney to defend people’s constitutional rights. My father was an attorney in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. I admired his passion for helping others. His service as an advocate for people facing prosecution from a powerful government inspired me to become a defense attorney.. I’m fluent in Spanish. This is mainly due to the extensive time I spent living and working in Mexico. During that time, I was actively involved in the community. That helped me better understand culture and language.. I started my legal career as a public defender. During that time, I handled hundreds of cases per year. The charges ranged from misdemeanors to violent felonies. Defending the most vulnerable among us further impressed upon me just how important it is for everyone to receive zealous representation. Despite time and budget constraints, I did everything I could as a public defender to advocate for my clients. As a private attorney now, I have an even greater opportunity to maximize the potential for a good outcome in my clients’ cases.

While in England, Hayley worked with both barristers who worked in the criminal sector and with solicitors in drafting commercial leases, wills and land registration. In September, 2010, Hayley moved to Oklahoma City as part of a pro bono exchange program called Amicus, where English law graduates assist in American capital defense teams.
