I have served on the board of directors for the Wichita Symphony Society for over 25 years.  I am also an active Rotarian, having served as club president of one of the largest and oldest clubs in the world.

I have been practicing law since 2003 and have tried more than 40 jury trials and numerous non-jury trials throughout my career.  Currently, 100% of my practice is dedicated to seeking justice for those injured by the negligence of others.. Background:  After graduating from Heidelberg University where I was a four-year member of the wrestling team, I attended the University of Miami School of Law.  After graduating from law school, I began my legal career as a prosecutor in Florida, where I tried case after case before Florida juries.  This prosecutorial experience honed my skills as a litigator and kindled within me a true passion for the courtroom.. Driven by service, I joined the Unites States Army Reserve in 2004 as a member of the Army JAG Corps and I continue to serve as an Army reservist today.  My military service has included nearly eight years of active duty military law practice, including a deployment to Iraq in 2010, where my primary missions were to partner with Iraq Army lawyers as part of the U.S. effort to help develop and grow the Iraq judicial system, as well as to investigate and pay claims made by Iraq nationals for alleged damages caused by coalition troops. From helping to deliver computers, printers, and copiers to a civilian courthouse in downtown Baghdad, to traveling to numerous Iraqi Army bases for meetings, to making cash payments to locals whose claims for damages had been verified, my overseas experiences helped to solidify an appreciation for our U.S. system of justice.  I currently hold the military rank of Major and I'm a graduate of the U.S. Army’s Airborne and Air Assault schools, among others.. From 2007 – 2012, and in between military mobilizations, I practiced law at John Madden, P.A. in Stuart, FL, where I was able to earn a number of excellent results for our civil litigation, criminal defense, and family law clients.  My Army service eventually led to a consecutive six-year active duty period of service from 2012 – 2018, during which I served at Fort Knox, KY; Charlottesville, VA, where I earned a Master of Law degree in military law; and, finally, at the 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command here in Wichita, KS, where my family and I chose to remain after leaving active duty.. I am licensed to practice law in Kansas state and federal courts, as well as in Florida and Texas, and I am a member of the Wichita Bar Association and the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association.. I earned my undergraduate degree from the Kansas State University and my law degree from University of Kansas School of Law. I began my criminal law career at the Miami County Attorney’s Office under Elizabeth Sweeney-Reeder. During my time as a prosecutor I worked in Juvenile, Domestic Violence, Misdemeanor Traffic, Misdemeanor Crimes, Field and Game, DUI, and Felony Failure to Register cases. This broad spectrum allowed me to gain great knowledge of criminal law. After leaving the County Attorney's Office in December of 2017, I then went to work for Cameron & Herrman, P.A, a very well-known firm in Wichita, Kansas. I am married and also have two wonderful friends. My wife, Shelley works with me. I am blessed with a  wonderful daughter. She and her husband and their four children live in Lawrence, Kansas. I volunteer time to many orgainzations but my  focus in life is family and helping my clients.

I am a native of Wichita and graduated from Wichita High School East.  I attended Emporia State University and obtained my undergraduate degree in history.  After ESU, I returned home to Wichita, worked at Old Cowtown Museum as a blacksmith, was the District Circulation Manager for the Wichita Eagle and later wrote business development online education programs. I then decided to pursue law and attended Washburn University School of Law. Following law school, I worked for the Kansas Court of Appeals before returning home to Wichita in early 2008 to join Hinkle Law Firm. My practice focuses primarily on estate planning. I am a full time lawyer and part time Lawyer On The Line.  I have been doing a weekly call in show on KAKE Channel 10 at 11:00 PM for over 5 years every Sunday night.  We take phone calls and answer questions about personal injury and workers compensation matters.  I have also published numberous articles and a book about personal injury auto accidents and workers compensation.  I have four children all of whom are active in sports.  Wesley is my oldest and a freshman in highschool.  Avery is in middle school. My two youngest are in grade 5 and are twin girls, Olivia and Anna.  My hobby is following all of them in the sports they all play which includes basketball, tennis, baseball, softball and football.. Haley Sharp grew up in Southwest Kansas and is excited about making Wichita her new home. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University in Justice Studies along with a minor degree in Political Science and her Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law.. After law school, Haley returned to Southwest Kansas where she represented clients in many surrounding counties and handled a variety of cases including guardian ad litem appointments in both child in need of care and guardianship cases, limited civil, traffic, misdemeanors, probate and estate planning. Chris Randle grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas where he was part of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and the history honors society Phi Alpha Theta. Chris worked as an intern with the Shawnee County District Attorney in law school with the responsibility of prosecuting crimes of domestic violence. Bailey Schmiedeler was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. She graduated from Kansas State University in 2018 where she majored in Political Science and minored in Philosophy. While at K-State, Bailey served as the Assistant Attorney General of the Student Governing Association, was a member of Chi Omega, and volunteered with local middle school students through YoungLife.
