I am a native of the Northern Virginia area.  I was born in Washington, D.C., and attended Arlington and Fairfax County Public Schools. I earned my Bachelor’s of Business Administration from James Madison University (1991), a Master’s degree in International Business Transactions from George Mason University (1995), and my Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois, College of Law (1999).. Over the past 20 years, I have primarily served as a trial attorney for divorce and criminal defense cases.  In 2004, I became a certified Guardian ad litem and represented children involved in custody disputes, truancy, delinquency, abuse and neglect cases.  I have personally handled over a hundred bench and jury trials in criminal cases and over a hundred hearings/trials involving divorce, child custody and support issues.. I also assist client's in the hospitality industry.  For 15 years, I was a professor of Hospitality Law and Management at the Northern Virginia Community College. I assist many local small business owners with business formation, lease agreements, and contract disputes. I live in Fairfax County with my wife and two daughters.  I am originally from St. Louis, where I was born and raised.  After attending Duke University, I moved to the DC area. I attended Georgetown Law School and then moved to Northern Virginia in 2009.  I am a big sports fan - baseball, football, and college basketball.

Attorney Madison Whitehead was born and raised in Manassas, Virginia. She attended George Mason University, and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Criminology and a concentration in Law and Society. During her undergraduate career, Madison focused on the flaws in the justice system and spent time interning in a Victim’s Witness Advocacy Program and the Commonwealth Attorney’s office both located in Culpeper, Virginia. During her time at the Commonwealth Attorney’s office she initiated independent research regarding casework and developed critical analysis of case law. Moreover, while interning with the Victim’s Witness Advocacy Program she developed a passion for helping individuals through the court process. Her experiences in both offices led her to ultimately follow her passions to law school. Madison pursued her law degree at Liberty University School of Law. While attending law school, Madison competed on the Mediation Team and won the Regional competition and placed in the semi-finals at the National competition.
