I am an attorney licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey practicing at the law firm of Cohen, Feeley, Altemose & Rambo.  My main area of practice is personal injury law. I am a retired police officer who held many certifications, including automobile crash reconstruction. I have been a bicycling advocate and instructor with the International Police Mountain Bike Association since 2000.  With my twenty-year police background, I like to specialize in difficult cases that require significant investigation.

I'm a Pennsylvania and New Jersey attorney whose primary field of experience is that of personal injury, mostly in the form of automobile accident injuy claims, UM/UIM claims, and slip and falls.  I have recently been admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.. My credo has always been that those with the power to help others have the responsibility to do so.  In keeping with that, I see each and every client who comes to me having been wronged as someone who deserves a voice.  Oftentimes, those who are injured do not know how to pursue justice or make themselves whole again, and I want to use the expertise I've gained to help them put their lives back on track.. I've always been a fiction, essay, and argumentative writer in my personal life with strong focuses on ethics, ancient languages, foreign languages, and debate.  In college, I studied criminal justice and forensic psychology, graduating as first in my major in the former.  I am involved with Angel 34, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting children with pediatric cancer, as a volunteer executive board member through my firm, Cohen & Feeley.

I have been practicing law in Danbury, Connecticut for thirty eight years, including seven years as an assistant state's attorney prosecuting felonies and misdemeanors. Before opening my own practice in 2008, I was a principal in the Danbury law firms of Pinney, Payne, P.C., and Secor, Cassidy, and McPartland, P.C.. I have extensive experience in litigating matters such as personal injuries arising out of motor vehicle accidents and premises liability; criminal and motor vehicle offenses, including DUI; real estate disputes, including eminent domain proceedings, boundary issues and foreclosures; partnership disputes; and employment matters. I have conducted dozens of court and jury trials and have argued numerous appeals in the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts.. I also frequently serve as a mediator in personal injury and commercial disputes.. In addition to my extensive litigation experience, I often act as the closing attorney in commercial and residential real estate transactions.. I have also had considerable experience representing local municipalities, and in 1990 I served as counsel to the Danbury Charter Revision Commission.. I have had a long history of involvement in the Danbury community, as have many members of my family. I am a Past President of the Danbury Bar Association; Past Chairman of the Western Connecticut State University Foundation; and I have served on the boards of several community charitable organizations. I was an adjunct professor at Western Connecticut State University in its Justice and Law Department in the 1990s.
