Prior to joining G. Keith Alley, P.C., I served as General Counsel for Lincoln Memorial University where I provided counsel to University administrators for a wide range of legal issues, advised on federal and state regulatory compliance, and drafted and reviewed over 2000 contracts annually. The areas of the law I most enjoy practicing include contracts, corporate compliance, education, employment issues, and litigation. I strive to provide quality and goal-oriented legal services in a manner that is individually tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. My experience has taught me the value of effective client communication and that clients benefit from having direct access to their attorney without filtering communication through law firm support staff. Benjamin serves as a Trustee of the Washington Institute of Near East Policy and is a member of its Abramson Young Leaders program. Josh Spitalnik has over a decade of experience representing all manner of clientele while performing construction and commercial law.  Josh's goal is to build a relationship with his clients in order to understand all the needs and potential difficulties in the client's business.  This way Josh and his clients can proactively take steps to avoid the issues that lead to litigations.  Josh believes in the concept that the best time to get a lawyer is before you need one.. In any lawsuit, Josh believes that the best way to succeed is to understand the case inside and out, as often the lawyer who knows the most about the case is in the best position to succeed.  Rather than focus his review on a case's strengths, Josh spends the majority of his time addressing potential weaknesses in the case in order to minimize the potential impact.. Josh received his Bachelors of Science in Human Development from Cornell University in 1999, which included the study of psychology and sociology.  This training has helped Josh take his role as "counselor at law" very seriously.. From 1999 to 2002, Josh worked as a senior purchasing assistant for Loews Cineplex Entertainment handling purchasing for new build construction of theatres.  This helps Josh to understand the realities of what it means to work for a business, and not just as a lawyer.  This also allowed Josh to see almost every movie that came out in that time for free!. After working for several years, Josh made the decision to return to school.  Josh attended Brooklyn Law School and graduated in 2005.. After law school, Josh worked as an associate for Cohen & Krasner performing construction law, commercial law and consumer debt collection.  Josh also was a partner at the Law Offices of Melvin J. Kalish, PLLC, representing nearly exclusively construction clients in all matters of construction and commercial law.. Josh is the father of two cute and rambunctious boys, and is a loving husband to his beautiful wife.. Josh is also a big baseball fan and over the years has traveled around the country in an attempt to see every baseball stadium.

While at the University of South Alabama, Adam assisted disabled students by taking notes for them during their classes. During summer and winter breaks, Adam worked at Jarvis Plumbing Company which his family has owned and operated since 1954. Adam attended Loyola New Orleans College of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2010. During law school, Adam helped his family renovate several historic homes in the Oakleigh Garden District. Construction and small business have always been at Adam's core, and they are the reason why he is dedicated to zealous representation of contractors, trades people and other small businesses today.. After passing the bar exam and being admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2010, Adam worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Roderick (Rick) Stout. While working for Judge Stout, Adam helped schedule the civil court docket, review briefs and motions, analyze relevant case law and prepare orders. In 2012, Adam went to work at a private law firm in West Mobile where he represented contractors and small businesses, personal representatives of estates and individuals with insurance claims. Adam helped some of the smallest businesses in town prevail in litigation against global corporations. He opened and closed probate estates. He also defended contractors when projects ran into problems.. Today, Adam is a solo-practitioner and owner of Jarvis Law Firm, PC. Adam lives in midtown Mobile with his wife, Amanda, two daughters and two dogs, Lily and Lucy. They enjoy visiting their local swim club, barbecuing in their back yard, cheering for the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints and canoeing on the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta in north Mobile and Baldwin Counties. I have lived in Evergreen, Colorado for the past 25 years. I spend much of my free time hiking in all parts of Colorado. I also enjoy skiing and mountain biking. Cooking is one of my favorite pastimes.

I bring 25-years experience as a civil and environment engineer working in the construction, water, environmental, and human development sectors into the legal field. I earned my Juris Doctor from Sturm College of Law in Denver. I received my Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University in 1994.
