Brent Ceryes is an Associate at Schochor, Federico and Staton, P.A.. Mr. Ceryes received his undergraduate degree in math and economics in 2008, and his Juris Doctor in 2011, both from the University of Maryland.. While in law school, Mr. Ceryes worked at Schochor, Federico and Staton as a law clerk. Mr. Chrencik is an associate with the firm.  He practices in product liability and medical malpractice defense.  Mr. Chrencik was a summer associate and law clerk with the firm from 2009 to 2010, joining the firm as an associate in 2010.  While in law school, Mr. Chrencik also studied at Erasmus University School of Law in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and interned for the Honorable Alan M. Wilner, former Chief Judge of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.

Mr. Marriner's practice is devoted to the defense of claims for professional malpractice and civil litigation. He represents individual health care providers and medical groups in a wide variety of medical specialties in professional malpractice claims.  Mr. Marriner has litigated cases in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the United States District Courts for Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit . He is responsible for all aspects of case management, including development of case strategy, conducting discovery, complex motions practice, bench trials and jury trials. He is also responsible for appellate practice, including preparation of appellate briefs and the presentation of oral arguments to the appellate courts.  He has obtained many dismissals and summary judgments on behalf of his clients, tried several jury trials resulting in defense verdicts and successfully argued before the Courts of Appeal of Maryland. Prior to his employment with Cowdrey Thompson, Mr. Marriner was a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Daniel M. Long, First Judicial Circuit in Maryland. Thereafter, he entered private practice.
