Donald J. Clark returned to Bad Axe in 1978 after having practiced law for six years as a member of the Ford Motor Company Office of General Counsel to join his father's law practice, forming Clark & Clark, P.C. on January 1, 1979. He is proud of the fact that he and his father have served generations of upper Thumb residents since 1945. Currently his practice is conentrated in the areas of probate, estate planning -- including trusts and wills, elder law, real estate and business planning. He has extensive experience in dealing with family farm succession planning.. He graduated with high honors from the University of Detroit majoring in history and political science. He attended law school at the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the editorial staff of the Michigan Law Review and graduated with honors. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam.. He lives in Bad Axe with his wife Joan and is active in the community including long term service as a Trustee of Huron Medical Center, membership in the Bad Axe Lions Club, and is a member of St. Hubert's Roman Catholic Church. He has two sons, two wonderfully talented daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.
