Cécile is a native French speaker, who has benefited from a bilingual education between France and the United States. Cécile attended the University of Paris 10, where she studied both the French civil system and the American and British common law systems, with a concentration in International Law (including European Union Law, Public International Law, and Comparative Law). She then had the opportunity to attend Albany Law School as a foreign exchange student.. While at Albany Law School, Cécile clerked with the Environmental Protection Bureau at the New York Office of the Attorney General. Her prior experience also includes a clerkship in Intellectual Property Law at the Paris office of one of the world's top 10 law firms, an in-house counsel position focused on international commercial operations at the headquarters of a global pharmaceutical company in Paris, and an Associate Attorney position in real estate and other transactional matters at a boutique law firm in Albany, NY. More recently, Cécile practiced in HoganWillig's Corporate and Business Law department.. Cécile is a Director and former Treasurer of the Alliance Française de Buffalo (French Alliance of Buffalo), a not-for-profit organization that encourages the study of the French language and gathers its members around French cultural and social events.
