Ed is a partner in the firm’s intellectual property practice group and a registered patent attorney.  His practice involves all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent procurement, trademark prosecution, copyright and trade secret.  Ed’s intellectual property experience encompasses patent prosecution, patent and IP strategy formulation, licensing, due diligence, patent opinions, and post-grant proceedings. Ed has served a variety of clients, including multinational corporations and start-up companies, in a variety of technological fields, including chemical, pharmaceutical, polymers, textiles, biotechnology, medical technology, energy, consumer products, mechanical devices, computers, software, electronics, and IoT (Internet of Things) devices.. Prior to entering private practice, Ed was a Clinical Pharmacist at Northside Hospital.  While a Clinical Pharmacist, Ed also served on numerous hospital governance committees, evaluated new drug formulary additions, participated in clinical investigational drug trials and development of therapeutic drug protocols.  Ed continues to work with health care and pharmaceutical companies, now providing counsel on issues ranging from regulatory matters before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to health care services agreements and compliance.  Ed also enjoys serving as a mentor for start-up teams in the Georgia Tech TI:GER program, a program focusing on commercialization of postgraduate research.. Jeff Lindgren is an IP and business attorney. Mr. Kamenetsky is a Registered Patent Attorney.  Jeff received his J.D., cum laude, fromTouro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, an M.B.A. from HofstraUniversity, and a B.S. in Engineering from the State University of NewYork at Stony Brook.  Jeff counsels clients in patent prosecution andtrademark matters, as well as litigation and licensing matters, and hasa broad patent prosecution practice encompassing a wide variety oftechnologies including medical devices, telecommunications, electricaland communication equipment, Internet, consumer goods, andcomputer-related technologies.  Jeff has significant experience indealing with international disputes related to import of products intothe United States.  A significant portion of his practice includesundertaking studies and drafting legal opinions regarding patentvalidity and infringement.  Prior to his legal career, Mr. Kamenetskyworked as an electrical engineer for the United States Air Force and amanager in industry.  A past President of the Intellectual Property LawAssociation of Florida, Mr. Kamenetsky is an active member of theInternational Trademark Association and the Florida Bar Association. In addition to being registered to practice before the United StatesPatent and Trademark Office, Jeff is licensed to practice law inFlorida and is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the FederalCircuit, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern andMiddle Districts of Florida.  Jeff has been selected by hispeers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Florida Monthly Magazine has named him one of the Top Lawyers in Florida.  Jeff is an avid triathlete, marathoner, cyclist and martial artist.  His other interests include reading, music, and spending time at home with his wife Rona, daughters Caysee and Jesyca and dog Tiki.
