For almost five years prior to joining Houston & Alexander, I worked at the Public Defender’s Office, where I handled hundreds of the most difficult cases, from the first court date all the way through appeal. During this time I had major successes in trials and motion hearings. I also successfully argued at the Court of Criminal Appeals, getting two separate murder convictions reversed.

I maintain an employment litigation and employment and labor advice practice.  I have experience representing private and public-sector employers in employment-related litigation in federal and state courts throughout Washington State, arbitrations, and in administrative hearings. My practice emphasizes preventive counseling to clients to avoid or minimize the risk of litigation. Specific areas of advice include assistance in disciplining and terminating employees, and drafting employee handbooks and employment agreements. I also provide training to supervisors and employees on compliance with employment and labor laws, including topics such as sexual harassment and disability accommodation. I was named a "Rising Star" in the 2006 Washington Law & Politics survey of lawyers in Washington state, a "Super Lawyer" since 2014, and included in The Best Lawyers in America (since 2012 ed.), Employment Law - Management.

Joshua A. Romero is a Partner the Austin office of Jackson Walker LLP. Mr. Romero represents both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts in complex commercial litigation. For over twenty years, Paul has been a tireless advocate for his clients, representing them in complex civil litigation in Colorado and throughout the United States. Paul’s work has been noted by his peers, having been selected as a Colorado Super Lawyer in Business Litigation.. Paul’s civil ligation practice focuses on all types of business litigation, including breach of contract, payment disputes, business torts such as interference with contract and non-compete claims, breach of fiduciary duty claims, commercial real estate disputes, and construction litigation.. Paul also has an active False Claims Act practice representing whistleblower qui tam relators in actions to recover money fraudulently taken from the Federal government. Paul’s first whistleblower case was in 1999 as counsel for a defendant when he worked at a large national law firm. Greg Coleman is the Founder and Managing Partner of Greg Coleman Law PC with over 25 years of trial and appellate experience.  Greg received his B.A. with highest honors and distinction from Jacksonville State University in 1986. He attended The University of Tennessee College of Law, graduating in 1989. In addition to distinguishing himself academically, Greg was a member of the National Trial Moot Court Team, was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for National Trial Team and was listed in Who's Who Among Rising Young Americans. In addition, the College of Law bestowed upon Greg the honor of inclusion into the National Order of Barristers for outstanding oral advocacy and trial skills..
