Hello, if you are in need, I would like to be your attorney. The following is a brief history of the things that led me to where I am today.. I was born and raised in a small Texas border town, called Del Rio. After graduating from Del Rio High School, I moved to the big city of Lubbock and attended, then graduated from Texas Tech with a major in history and a minor in anthropology.. Looking for a change in my life, I spent some time in the Los Angeles, California metropolitan area working various jobs, including insurance adjusting. Many of the claims I adjusted involved lawyers. It seemed nobler to represent clients, instead of insurance companies and I thought I could best represent those clients as an attorney.. I was accepted by, and Graduated from Western State University School of Law at San Diego in 1980. Passing the State Bar of California in 1981, I worked for myself until 1985, when I decided to move back to my roots in Texas.. My time in California opened my eyes to different people and different cultures. People in Texas and California are more alike than they are different. Both states are filled with mostly good people.. In 1985, I started working for a small law firm in Del Rio, Texas. While there, I learned the ins and outs of running a general law practice with an emphasis on personal injury. In 1988, I got married to Vanessa, moved to the DFW Metroplex, and started a job with the old Hyatt Legal Services. Soon after, we had, Jack, our first of our two children.. At Hyatt, I continued to practice general law, with a heavy emphasis on family law. In 1990, I purchased my office from Mr. Hyatt, and I became self-employed again. I have been operating as a self-employed attorney ever since.. I have handled thousands of cases over the years. My staff and I strive to provide the best, and most efficient service available. We feel that our practice of law is our calling from God, and that we must be as good in this practice as we humanly can be.. If you want competent, experienced legal representation, please come by one of our two offices serving Dallas and Tarrant Counties. We will make you feel welcome, and it would be an honor to have you come in, meet us, and allow us to handle your legal issue
Channe G. Coles understands the struggles which face divorced parents, especially those confronted with the challenge of raising a child on their own while struggling financially.. As a child of divorce herself, she grew up in a single-parent family with her mother and four sisters. She understands the toll child custody battles can take both physically and emotionally on parents, but also from the perspective of the child who often suffers the most when parents fight it out in court.. Channe has two undergraduate degrees from California State University, Northridge; a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. Immediately following her undergraduate education, she enrolled at the West Los Angeles School of Law, graduated cum laude in May 2008, and passed the July bar in November that same year.. In 2009 Channe joined a general practice law firm in downtown Los Angeles, where she gained a wealth of litigation and trial experience in construction defects, probate, personal injury, and family law. Following her time there, she joined Law Offices of Gregory Johnson, in Oxnard, California exclusively practicing in the area of elder abuse and personal injury, where she chaired long-cause trials through Ventura and Los Angeles County and assisted in complex class action lawsuits. In 2014 she opened her own solo practice in Santa Barbara where 99% of her time is devoted to the area of family law. She brings a wealth of litigation experience and is extremely competent in handling both highly contested, big income and asset cases; as well as, the far less complex issues of a “friendly divorce”.. Channe resides with her husband, teenage son, champion Rhodesian Ridgeback “Truman”, and her two rescue cats in her home in Santa Barbara. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, sailing, running, skiing, and wine tasting!

Emily Ellison is a Longmont attorney who specializes in Family Law. Emily focuses her career on assisting people involved in tough legal situations. Her goal is to use her legal career to create a positive impact on society. She does this by listening to her clients’ needs, understanding how to guide their case to meet those needs, and fighting to obtain results. A dedicated and curious law student, Emily graduated in the top 25% of her class from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.. Emily’s academic success in law school landed her a dual judicial externship with Colorado Supreme Court Justice Brian D. Boatright and Jefferson County District Court Judge Christopher C. Zenisek. An inside perspective of the legal system gives Emily unique insight into how judges make decisions and write orders. Her experience taught her to effectively counsel clients to achieve the best possible outcome in their case. Sometimes that means advising clients to negotiate an out-of-court settlement, and other times taking a case to trial.. Eager to gain courtroom experience and begin advocating while in law school, Emily represented clients who were unable to afford an attorney and successfully obtained civil protection orders and defended a client from eviction.. In order to better understand the local legal community and the nuts and bolts of family law, Emily worked at an established Longmont divorce firm prior to starting Ellison & Ellison Law. Emily understands that clients faced with divorce or child custody issues are going through one of life’s hardest experiences—one that affects the most personal and basic needs. I grew up in a military family and, like most, was stationed at various bases throughout the country and overseas before finally settling in Arizona. I stayed close to home and attended the University of Arizona for my undergraduate studies, before venturing out to California for law school, where I graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2003. Shortly thereafter, I moved back to Arizona, and began my legal career and gained valuable courtroom experience as a juvenile public defender.. In 2010 I transitioned into private practice, and since then I've focused my practice almost exclusively on family law, divorce and child custody issues. I like to think I bring a reasoned and compassionate approach to my cases, and understand the emotional stress often involved in family matters. With over a decade of combined experience as a litigator, I'm also well equipped to handle contentious disputes when necessary. When I'm not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, running and hiking. I'm also an avid sports fan – especially when it comes to my favorite teams, the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, San Antonio Spurs, and the University of Arizona football and basketball teams (“Bear Down”). When time allows, I also try to give back to the community by volunteering my time with Wills for Heroes and the Family Law Assistance Program.
I have been providing quality, personal legal representation to families for 21 years.
