Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Bob Linhares. I have been married to my wife, Megan, since 1986. We have lived in Florissant, MO, since 1988. We have three children and they have been a true blessing and joy to us. When our kids were young we were actively involved in their sports and school activities, volunteering as coaches and serving on many parish and school comittees at Sacred Heart, our parish family here in Florissant. We remain active in our parish and community in many different ways. Megan and I like to get out and enjoy nature as often as possible. One thing we always enjoyed as a family was our annual vacation. Over the years we have hung out at the beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida, stayed in some great cottages along Lake Michigan, hiked the Grand Canyon and climbed 14,000-ft. peaks in Colorado. I enjoy the sport of archery and occassionaly like to get out and hunt with my long bow.. I have been an attorney since 1988 and am licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois. I have been a partner at Rebman, Linhares & Beachem, P.C., since 1998. My partners, Joe Rebman and Greg Beachem are not only my law partners but are good friends and we do whatever we can to help each other. After many years of teaching pre-kindergarten my wife Megan joined our office in 2011 and now serves as our office manager and paralegal. Megan has a bachelor's degree in Journalism and also worked as a corporate writer for a number of years. She wears many hats at the office and they all fit her well!. I have tried a number of cases in State and Federal Court over the years, but the primary focus of my practice is now concentrated in three areas: 1) Estate Planning and Elder Care/Disability Law. I draft traditional estate planning documents such as Revocable Trusts, Wills, and General Durable Power of Attorney documents for financial and health care decisons. I also draft specialized estate planning documents that can help protect assets and in certain cases allow people to qualify for or remain on benefits such as Medicaid or Social Security Disability. For example I can meet with you to help determine if a Special Needs Trust might be of help to a person receiving some form of government disability benefits or whether an Irrevocable Trust might make sense as a planning tool for asset protection in the event skilled nursing care and Medicaid benefits are needed in the future. I am a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. 2) Probate Law. I have handled many probate estates over the years and can efficiently guide you through the probate system. Probate estates may involve a Will or a situation where the deceased left no Will. The estate may be large or it may involve less than $40,, in which case a Small Estate Affidavit may be used to speed up the process. Examples of other types of probate matters are Petition For Determination Of Heirs, Spousal Refusal Of Letter, Creditor Refusal Of Letters, and Guardianship and Conservatorship Estates. 3) Business and Real Estate Law. I can represent a Buyer or Seller in drafting and negotiating a Sale Contract, draft real property deeds and provide counsel in all types of real estate issues. I can help a business select the right type of entity and draft the needed documents to begin operation, such as the Operating Agreement for an LLC. I can also provide counsel to your business on everyday legal issues involving contracts and employment.

We offer professional excellence and the highest level of personal service available when it comes to estate planning, probate, asset protection and a variety of business matters. Our lead attorney, Susan G. Parker, has many years of experience counseling clients of all ages and economic levels, on these deeply personal and family matters, with compassion and wisdom that makes her an invaluable trusted advisor. Susan and her assistant Karen are the firm's frontline in making clients know their needs will be met.. In addition to the core practice areas, the firm handles many related areas of law including tax planning, Medicaid asset protection, employment agreements, real estate transfers, house closings and trust administration. We also help people start businesses, sign leases, create partnership and business agreements, write and review employment contracts, handle employment law matters and undertax personal and business tax planning.. We work with people from all over the country and world, who need to probate the estate of a loved one in the NY metro area. A good deal of our practice is also devoted to planning for people who have family roots in country's around the globe. The key difference between this law firm and many others with similar specialties, is we care about our clients - each and every one - no one is just a number. Personal service is the key differentiator. At the law firm of Susan G. Parker Law Associates, we deliver on our word - integrity remains in vogue at our firm. It has never gone out of style.. When it comes to elder law, Susan shares the experience that many of her clients face: shepherding parents through their golden years - often with an unforeseen snafu - and the economic and emotional toll this can take on all involved.. Althought we live in a DIY "do it yourself" world, this can be unrealistic when it comes to your own plans and needs, and the needs of your loved ones. As many of us know, DIY isn't as easy as it sounds. Although many web services, offer online estate planning or agreements you can print and sign, often it's not that simple. All states have laws about how a will has to be signed, to be valid. Did you know that by having a will signing overseen by a lawyer, there is a presumption that things were done properly - if the will is ever challenged?. We are avid pet lovers, and volunteer our legal talents on behalf of the SPCA of Briarcliff Manor - to help those who want to leave a bequest to the SPCA, and also to help the SCPA collect legacies left to them. We afford those interested in making this type of gift special treatment. And at the office, be sure to say hi to Susan's golden retriever - Kurbis!. Thanks for stopping by!
