I am an attorney at the law firm of Carnahan Evans in Springfield, Missouri, where I am a member of the Estate Planning Practice Group. My practice involves communication with clients aimed at understanding their unique estate planning needs and objectives, and the preparation of various estate planning documents, including simple and complex trusts, wills, powers of attorney, premarital agreements, and business documents to accurately reflect those needs. I also assist in the administration of the estates of loved ones who have recently passed away.. I earned my J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law in May of 2015, graduating with a concentration in Estate Planning and Taxation. While in law school, I was awarded the 2015 Michelle Arnopol Cecil Award for Excellence in Taxation, and held numerous leadership positions, including membership on the executive board of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. I was a member of the Missouri Law Review editorial board from 2013-2015, and am the author of two published articles in the Missouri Law Review. Cameron was born and raised in Missouri. He grew up in Springfield and attended Evangel University graduating with a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Pre-Law. After graduation, Cameron attended law school in Virginia Beach, VA at Regent University School of Law with a focus in Estate Planning and Elder Law. Cameron’s legal internships included working with a large law firm; clerking for The Honorable Judge Der-Yeghiayan, a United States Federal District Court Judge in Chicago, Illinois; and spending the summer of 2010 interning at the law offices of R. Clancy Parks, Attorney at Law. 2011 marked the time Cameron joined the law firm as a licensed attorney. Having both of their professional goals aligned, practicing law together has enabled Clancy and Cameron to harness their synergistic potential which maximizes the quality of service they provide their clients.

Laws of Practice

Larry Fraser, a native of Springfield, Missouri, received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Drury University in 1991. In 1994, Mr. Fraser received his Doctorate degree from the University of Kansas School of Law.  Following law school, Mr. Fraser returned to Springfield as an Associate with the law firm of Bussell, O’Neal & Hall.  In 1996, Mr. Fraser started his own solo firm in Springfield and in 2001 moved his office to Christian County.   He has been of counsel with the Courtney Law Firm and Neale & Newman.  Mr. Fraser’s primary areas of practice are estate planning and business organizations.  He has presented numerous seminars on the topics of trusts and estate planning.

Charles Moore has practiced law all over the United States.  He began his career in Southern California in 2005.  A few years later, he moved across the country to practice law in the Princeton, New Jersey area.  He has always practiced primarily in the estate planning / probate and elder law field, along with having significant experience in representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in estate and trust litigation matters.  This has been by design since he is passionate about these practice areas.. In 2009, Charles took a great opportunity to move back home to St. Louis, Missouri and open his own practice, Legacy Law Center.. The firm has two locations.  The main office is in St. Charles, Missouri.  The second office is about 15 minutes west in the Winghaven neighborhood of O'Fallon, Missouri.. Legacy Law Center is a full service estate planning, probate and elder law practice.. Charles also owns a second firm called the Traffic Ticket Center, which narrowly focuses on traffic / DWI / license suspenion and minor criminal defense and was opened in 2014.. He is married and lives in St. Charles County.  He and his wife are avid travelers and Charles has been to a dozen countries, with hopes of eventually visiting at least 75.  He is an avid photographer and his office is covered with his work.

Carrie Schormann focuses on estate planning, estate and trust administration and estate and trust litigation for families. Her experience includes all types of basic and advanced estate planning, formation of business entities, private foundations and charitable trusts. Carrie prepares estate and gift tax returns and other fiduciary tax returns for her clients. She also represents personal representatives and trustees in connection with estate and trust administration matters.. Carrie works collaboratively with other professionals (such as accountants and financial advisors) so that the client’s needs are met in a holistic and comprehensive manner.

I am an attorney practicing exclusively in the area of trust and estate law. I prepare estate plans from the simple will to the complete family complex trust package. I advise and assist trustees in administering trusts. I advise beneficiaries of trusts as well.  When an estate requires a probate administration, I guide and represent the executor or administrator through the entire process. I am experienced in litigating will and trust contests, trustee challenges, and other probate litigation issues.  I will also consider conservatorship matters.. I practice primarily in Contra Costa and Alameda counties but I am capable of providing service throughout the northern California Bay area. Home and hospital visits are available with fully mobile draft, print, notary and copy capability for clients needing urgent planning and administration services. I run a low overhead office so that I can provide prompt and compassionate legal services at very competitive hourly and flat fee rates.

The counselor portion of that description requires that I educate my clients so that they can make informed and intelligent decisions. Ask any educator, in any field, and they will agree that students who are engaged, interested, and studying on their own are much easier to teach than students who want the teacher to do all the work. Accordingly, I believe that when clients are willing to take some effort to educate themselves so that they can more fully understand the process that they are caught in, those clients are much more likely to be able to provide me with the relevant information I need to handle a case successfully. I am very much in favor of clients educating themselves and being active participants in their legal matters.. In each of my areas of focus, I am engaged in the task of helping individuals solve problems. In family law and other litigated cases, I help to solve current problems, and provide solutions that allow the individual to move on with his or her life. In estate planning, I help to create the plans that are necessary in order to avoid the problems which naturally arise when there has been a lack of planning. As our business has evolved and grown, Shinju has spent more time managing our office and keeping current with changes in technology for our business. Chih-Yi Lin is an associate with the firm. She has been with the firm since shortly after its founding in 1997. She practices in the area of trust administration and family law. Ms. Lin also fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese.. My strengths and style:. I can empathize with others, and this often leads to a greater understanding of their motives and goals. This understanding will often reveal solutions that would not be apparent to one who is unable to fully understand one's current opponent. While I would not go so far as to call it unique, years of experience lead me to believe that the trait of empathy is rare among lawyers. I will not waste a client's money. Often this means taking a pragmatic look at the circumstances and understanding that it simply does not make sense, for example, to spend $10, to recover $1,. However, that being said, there certainly are times when the issues at stake represent more than simply money. In such circumstances, my goal is to educate my client as to the pros and cons of available strategies, so that the client can make an intelligent and informed decision about to how to proceed.. Personal Interests:. I am a history aficionado; preferring primarily military and legal history. For sports, I enjoy tennis, softball, volleyball and bicycling. Although I have not had the time to remain active with it, I am also a great fan of the sport of fencing. In fact, it was on the UCLA Fencing Team that I first met my wife.  In recent years, Shinju and I have been active in raising funds and awareness for the Arthritis Foundation, and ride down the California Coast for an 8 day, 525 mile bicycle fundraising ride.  To date, we have raised more than 40, for the foundation.
