Amy M. As the youngest of five children born to an over the road truck driver and nursing assistant, gowing up in Southwest Virginia wasn't always easy. In June of 1997, I became the first member of my family to graduate from high school and then go to college. I didn't follow the traditional path to becoming a lawyer. I worked my way through college and graduate school. I attended law school at night in the part-time, evening division program. It was hard, but as is the case with most things in life, the "hard" made it worth while. I chose to become a lawyer because by nature, I'm a problem solver. I like to get things done. I like knowing that when I help a client, I'm doing something for that person that only a lawyer can do.. After law school, I chose to stay in Southwest Virginia because the Blue Ridge Mountains are my home. The people here are my friends and family. There's no place on Earth that I would rather be.. After being in private practice, I chose to work for Blue Ridge Legal Services, Inc. because I believe that everyone should have access to the courthouse no matter how much money they have. Engraved above the front entrance to the United States Supreme Court building is this phrase: Equal Justice Under Law. I work with the client to create a plan as unique as they are. Most the of the time, the client has a concept of what that plan should look like. They know where they want to go. My job is to break down the big picture into the individual steps to help them get there.. In my view, no matter the area of practice, it's all about the client and all about the solutions!

After graduating from Winthrop College in 1985, Robert Masella went on to become a key member of the business world. Lindsey VanFleet has devoted the vast majority of her practice to helping families, whether through a divorce, modification, child support, paternity, end-of-life preparations, or other legal matters.  Her practice is focused in family law, traffic law, criminal law, and estates.  Being licensed in both Missouri and Kansas, she handles cases in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.  Clients either never have to return to the court or, if the circumstances necessitate, return to Lindsey.. I’ve been around the law (or, more accurately, the law has been around me) nearly all my life. As a teenager, I had no doubt that my career would be in the legal field. While I was growing up in Bay Village, Ohio, my mother practiced as a paralegal before she pursued her law degree. I often went to her office and watched her, and the attorneys who she worked with, practice their profession with dignity and integrity. I wanted to be just like them.. Throughout my college and law school years and before taking the bar exam, I was an administrative assistant, legal assistant, personal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, project coordinator, and collateral manager (sometimes more than one at a time!). As a result, even before becoming an attorney I gained experience in a wide variety of practice areas, including personal injury, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant relations, bar admissions, intellectual property, and family law. After getting my license in December 2020, I ran a solo practice for over two years, and was thrilled to join Kirner & Boldt Co., L.P.A. in November 2023.. I am a proud member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Mental Health and Wellness Committee. There is no higher calling to me than helping de-stigmatize substance abuse and mental illness in the legal profession.
