I’ve been working in Iredell and surrounding counites since 2019 and I’ve come to realize how much of a need there is for good, honest probate attorneys. Honestly, I think that statement applies to the greater Piedmont Triad area, generally. Because of this, I have made it my sole aim to provide clients with two critical things: first, a better understanding of the probate process, which can be quite complex and overwhelming, and second: friendly, responsive, and competent representation as we tackle the probate issues together.. I got my start working with a well-known and well-respected attorney in Iredell County but recently, as he moved closer to retirement, accepted an offer to join the Fidelity Law Group team and manage a new Statesville branch of the firm. I grew up in Dayton, Ohio and after graduating from Clemson University I returned to Dayton to attend law school at the University of Dayton. After a few restless years practicing in Dayton I joined the Navy as a JAG Corps officer. It was early in my Navy career that I met my wife who had joined the Marine Corps about one year earlier. She later became a Marine Corps lawyer and served 26 years on active duty before retiring in 2015. I served about 3.5 years on active duty with the Navy, retiring from the Reserves in 2010 with 20 years of service.. After leaving active duty in 1993 I was looking for a new direction for my legal career and entered the Master of Laws in Taxation program at the College of William and Mary, graduating in 1996. It was that same year that I began working for my now-partner, Boyd Tisdale. We have enjoyed a wonderful relationship for more than 20 years now.. My wife and I have four children, a son who is on a football scholarship to the College of William and Mary, two teenage girls (please pray for me) and an 8 year old boy who is tearing up the 3rd grade.

Nick focuses his practice on estate planning, pension and profit-sharing law, and taxation. Before joining the firm, he was an instructor at the Stanford University Law School. A 1965 graduate of Lawrence College, Nick received his law degree with honors from the University of Chicago in 1968. He served on the board of editors of the University of Chicago Law Review.. He is an elected member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and has served as the group's North Dakota chair. He has also served as president of the Red River Valley Estate Planning Council and the Cass County Bar Association. He was also a member of the Judicial Nominating Committee for the State of North Dakota. In addition, Nick frequently presents seminars on estate planning.. Nick grew up in a family of lawyers in Fargo. He and his wife, Ene, still live close to their old neighborhoods. He is involved with local cultural activities. Nick is an avid tennis player and enjoys traveling.
