Rebekah Perlstein grew up in Richardson, Texas and graduated cum laude from Southwestern University with a double major in English and Communication Studies. Following college, Rebekah taught fifth and sixth grade English in Dallas, Texas.. Rebekah has always had a passion for the law and made the decision to attended SMU Dedman School of Law, graduating cum laude. While Rebekah started her career in criminal defense, shortly after law school she accepted a position at the Collin County District Attorney's Office. As a felony prosecutor she gained a reputation for being a fair and passionate litigator while handling hundreds of criminal cases.. Prior to moving to the Big Bend, I was Deputy Chief Public Defender in DuPage County, Illinois, where I was in charge of training and supervising the attorneys in the Misdemeanor Division. In addition to my supervisory duties, I maintained an active caseload of felony files. I have tried dozens of cases to verdict.. I hold a law degree from the University of Chicago and a degree in classical guitar performance from Florida State University. I am licensed to practice law in Texas and Illinois (presently voluntarily inactive), as well as the federal district courts for the Western District of Texas and the Northern District of Illinois. I also maintain the Trial Coach website as a resource for defense attorneys who wish to hone their trial advocacy skills. I have been published in The Champion, The Federal Sentencing Reporter, and elsewhere.

Born and raised between Orange, Tx and Cypress, Tx, the Gulf Coast has always been my home. We opened our first office in Orange Texas, and now have a second office in Alvin, Texas.. I began my legal career in 1992, as an insurance defense litigator. After three years of defending individuals and companies in lawsuits involving everything from a vehicle accident with exploding fuel tankers to toxic exposure in the construction of nuclear power plants, I switched gears to work with the largest bankruptcy law firm in San Antonio. During this period, I became one of the youngest board certified attorneys in consumer bankruptcy.I moved to Abilene in 1999, when he was hired to operate and manage the local office of Monte J. White & Associates. Subsequently, I opened my own firm, the Law Offices of Weir & Willhelm, P.C., with the counsel of Woody Weir to expand my practice and represent my clients, who had come to appreciate and trust me, with other legal issues.  For the past twenty seven years, I have represented numerous clients in various legal matters from civil, criminal, disability, probate and other civil matters to bankruptcy and debt reorganization.Presently, I own and operate the Willhelm Law Firm, and I am licensed in state and federal courts as well as the US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Zach was born and raised in west Fort Worth and Aledo, and started his legal career as an associate with Mayo Mendolia & Vice, L.L.P. in their Willow Park office with Tim Mendolia as his supervising partner. After six years as an associate, Mr. Pettigrew agreed to partner with Mr. Mendolia in M&P Law Offices, which retained a continued relationship with Mayo Mendolia & Vice, LLP, being of counsel.. Zach received his undergraduate degree in finance from Henderson State University, while lettering all four years with the Reddie football team.  After graduation, Zach worked for a year before attending law school and earning his Juris Doctorate degree in 2009 from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in January 2010.  During his time at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, Zach was a member and vice president of the TWU Rugby Club, Secretary of Delta Theta Phi, and volunteered with the Innocence Project of Texas.. His practice with the firm primarily includes commercial/business transactions and commercial/business litigation, consumer rights litigation, family law, and criminal law. Zach is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Young Lawyers Association, Parker County Bar Association, and Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.. Zach has been married to Tricia Pettigrew since June 2012 and they have a son, Cash, and a daughter, Reese.  When Zach is not enjoying time with his children, or volunteering as President of his HOA, Zach enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing/watching sports.

Lee Short graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2010.  He has successfully represented individuals charged with drug offenses, capital murder, and sexual offenses at jury trials across Arkansas in both federal and state courts.. Mr. Short has also garnered numerous post-conviction victories by direct appeal and Rule 37 proceedings, which have freed several clients from prison.  He has argued before the Arkansas Supreme Court and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals several times.. Mr. Short is currently the Past-President for the Pulaski County Bar Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  He has presented on numerous topics for Continuing Legal Education programs on appellate law and criminal defense.  Mr. Short has been named to Little Rock Soiree's Best Lawyer list and a Mid-South Rising Star by SuperLawyers.

Pamela Epperson, a former prosecuting attorney and public defender, established her own law practice-Epperson Panasiuk Law in 2014. Her practice primarily focuses of criminal defense, including DWI/DUI defense.  Pam handles many types of criminal matters such as criminal charges (state and federal), expungments, and pardons. She also handles personal injury and Social Security Disability cases.. Pam earned her undergraduate degree in criminal justice/political science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) in 1993 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law (now the William H. Bowen School of Law) in 1999.  Throughout her legal career, she has served as a deputy public defender, deputy prosecuting attorney, and associate attorney for Law Offices of Gary Green and Law Offices of John Wesley Hall..
