Mr. Savoy, a native to Los Angeles, graduated from California State University, Northridge with high academic honors.  Mr. Savoy attended Southwestern Law School, where he was named to the Dean's List and graduated in the top of his class.  Mr. Savoy has worked in both the private and government sectors, where he has gained invaluable experience and connections.  While in Law School, he clerked at the Office of the Ventura County Public Defender, as well as the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.  In the private sector, Mr. Savoy worked at the Law Offices of Bruce Margolin, a Criminal Defense Firm.. I grew up in Sullivan County, went to IU, and then to University of Louisville for Law School.  Afterwards I married and relocated to Parke County, Indiana where my wife and I raised three children.  Our oldest son is married and they have three children. I have enjoyed coaching basketball for a number of years.  I enjoy watching basketball games and discussing the teams strategy of play.  I also enjoy attending basketball games at the high school and college level, both for men and for women.. The most thing that I like about being an Attorney is helping other people during a difficult time in their life.  I like to make sure that my client's are treated fairly and in accordance with the terms outlined in our laws.

I graduated from law school in 2004 and have spent nearly every day since then in court. Whether that was as a judge's clerk, a prosecutor, a defense attorney ... and as a defendant. I am not a perfect person. I have made mistakes in my life ... made poor decisions ... and I have had to rely on others (including a lawyer) to help me navigate those difficult times. I also needed to come to terms with a chemical dependency problem that was causing harm to myself and others. Gratefully, I found a program that works and, after turning myself over to the care of a power greater than myself. I have begun the long (and rewarding) process of making a daily amends to those that I hurt --- primarily by not returning to old/bad habits and by embracing a commitment to rigorous honesty ... something that allows me to live life (and its ups and downs) on life's terms. I was born and raised in Minnesota.  I went to Madison, Wisconsin for college, earning a degree in German Literature from the University of Wisconsin.  After graduating from Madison, I moved to Freiburg, Germany, teaching English to adults.  I then returned to Minnesota and earned my teaching license.  I taught German and worked as an English Language Learner paraprofessional.   Subsequntly, I went to law school, earning a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in 2006. After law school my first job in the legal field was in Buffalo, Minnesota, clerking for Wright County District Court Judge Stephen M. Halsey. I am currently the prosecuting attorney for the Cities of Buffalo and Annandale.  I also have a private practice.. My passions, outside of the law, are gardening, triathlons, and reading.
