I was born in West Michigan and have spent the great part of my life here. I have been married 28 years and have six wonderful children and the love of my life as my wife. I graduated from Kalamazoo College with majors in French and  History.  I have continued my interest in languages and have studied Italian, German and Spanish, in addition to French.. My interest in the Law arises from my strong belief that an individual needs to have an advocate when the power of the government invades someone's life. I conccentrate on criminal defense law because of that strong belief.. In addition to the law I have tutored French and have been actively involved in my parish, Sacred Heart of Jesus, on the West Side of Grand Rapids. My offices are also on the West Side, in a building a business partner and I have renovated.. Through the years I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to provide vital legal help to those who find themselves confronting life-altering difficulties with the law. My enthusiasm  for my work persists and I am very appreciative of the privilege it is to help out those struggling with legal problems.

Joseph served our country as a United States Army Ranger in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Joseph graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s of social science in criminal justice, then went on to study law at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he graduated with his Juris Doctor with a focus on litigation.. Joseph was an active law enforcement officer in the State of Michigan for 10 years and retired SWAT Operator and Sniper where he neutralized special threat situations, and apprehended perpetrators through the use of special tactics and training.. In addition to owning Ranger Law, Joseph is the owner of Ranger Firearm Instruction, LLC, a state recognized law enforcement and citizen training company.. Joseph is a combat veteran with over 17 years of military (special operations) and law enforcement experience.
