FAMILY. I was born in Waco, Texas and even though I moved around a bit, in the end I decided to come home to settle down.  I live in Waco with my wife, Cindy, with whom I have been married to since 2002 and our son, Edgar.  We have several pets (two cats, a dog, a fish, and a lizard) and spend our free time watching movies, camping, or just hanging out together.. PRE-LAW. After graduating college in 1999, I worked in the computer industry in and around the Dallas area until my son was born in 2002. I earned several technical certifications on a variety of hardware and software platforms.  I usually worked for small businesses while in Dallas as a network operations manager, but I also taught a two separate technical schools.  While I was teaching, I helped my students prepare for a job in the information technology industry.  It was hear that I first discovered my passion for helping people.  When I left the I.T. field, I decided that I wanted to work directly with people and see if there was anything that I could to help them, so I started working as an insurance agent.  Eventually, I decided that I wanted to have more of an impact on peoples' lives.  This is when I decided to go to law school and become a lawyer.. LAW SCHOOL. I started Baylor Law School in the fall of 2005.  I immediately knew that being a lawyer was what I was meant to be.  Throughout law school I learned everything that I could about how to better serve my future clients.  Because I knew that I wanted to work for myself when I graduated, I picked only the classes that were needed for my future law career, earning a Criminal Concentration and a General Civil Litigation Concentration upon my graduation in May 2008 with a Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School.. CLIENTS. I believe that my best attribute when dealing with my clients is my ability to listen and inform my clients of their options.  I may be their lawyer, but it is their case and their life.

Justin Chance Smith grew up around Bridgeport, Texas where dust, gravel, and eighteen wheelers were commonplace.  Through college he worked for a trucking company in Bridgeport where he quickly learned how easy it was for a driver to lose their livelihood over a traffic violation.  Chance received his undergraduate degree from Texas Wesleyan University in Business Administration.  He then went on to graduate with his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Texas Wesleyan School of Law. All of my life people (family, friends, strangers, etc.) have told me that I should get involved in the practice of law and/or politics. I think even from a very young age I displayed a passion for the law and more importantly, justice. Growing up my family moved a lot and I believe that is what formed my ability to engage with any type of person on any number of topics.. I have had experience growing up in big cities like New York and Chicago as well as quite suburbs and rural communities such as St. Louis, Springfield (MO and IL) and now my hometown of Oklahoma City. With that said, I have lived in the State of Oklahoma for the longest of all of the places I have lived and this is truly becoming my home. This is where I attended and graduated law school (Oklahoma City University in 2015), took and passed the bar exam and most importantly, met my beautiful wife Katherine.. Ever since I graduated law school and passed the bar exam, I have been learning and grinding, trying to become the absolute best legal advocate I can be to best serve our family of clients. I take great pride in being able to fight for those who are caught up in the legal system and I cherish every opportunity that I have to learn and grow as an attorney and legal professional.. A lot of people become disillusioned with the practice of law when they expect a passionate "crime drama" type lawyer that they see on TV with passion and bravado, then wind up witnessing a slow and boring paper pusher that drags his feet as he timidly works out an agreement with the prosecutor...
