My name is James Dorgan, and I am an attorney practicing law in South Alabama.  I have been practicing law since 1996, assisting individuals and businesses with a variety of legal needs.  My office is located in downtown Fairhope, in the historic Gaston building, upstairs from the Fairhope Single Tax Colony.  I am admitted to practice law both in the State of Alabama and the State of Florida.  I also teach one night per week as an adjunct professor of law at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.  I look forward to assisting you with any and all of your legal needs.

Criminal defense representation is my area of expertise. For the past 34 years, I have solely focused on representing those accused of criminal law violations.

My approach to criminal defense: I defend every client the way I would want to be defended if I found myself charged with crime. I fight with everything I have and put myself at risk if necessary to protect my client. Often times at trial...a judge will try and screw over the defendant with unfair rulings.  I don't stand for it. If a judge is acting with bias I call it out loud and clear. The only way our justice syste works  is when a defendant is given a fair trial with due process. When that happens the truth will find its way and the jury will reach the right decision.. I wake up early every morning and surf to start my day. It keeps me in shape and puts me in a good mood.  I am an avid outdoorsman. I love fishing and hunting.  I work hard and play hard and approach every day as though it might be my last.

Ronald G. Brower, Attorney at Law, has been specializing exclusively in criminal law since he opened his legal practice in Orange County, California, in 1974. Wayne B. Addis is a founding member of Addis Greenberg, L.L.C. Stacy Votto graduated from the University of Delaware in 2001 and earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Immediately upon graduating, she left for New York to attend Brooklyn Law School where she was admitted as a Richardson Scholar. In 2004, Stacy passed the bar admittance exams in both New York and Connecticut and began her legal career.  Beginning in 2004, Stacy prosecuted abuse and neglect cases on behalf of the City of New York. Eventually, she decided to move back to her home state of Connecticut where she began work for a prominent New Haven law firm. She spent almost six years there until she decided to open the Law Office of Stacy Errante Votto, LLC in December 2010. At the beginning of 2014 she merged her practice and is now partner at Nelson|Votto, a general practice firm on Trumbull Street in New Haven..
