My name is Catherine Block, formerly Catherine Baker. I have been married for 10 years, with my husband for 16. We have two boys, ages 5 and 4 that keep me on my toes at home. I am originally from southwestern Wisconsin, but moved to Fond du Lac 8 years ago. I began working right after law school in Wisconsin Dells, but moved to Fond du Lac to take a job at the District Attorney's Office. I was there for two year and then entered private practice. I was with Nehls Law Office for a year then hung out my own shingle for 6 years. I missed the camaraderie of a law firm and am ecstatic to be an associate at Petit & Dommershausen, SC. I have always prided myself on my attention to detail and personal commitment to all of my cases and I will continue that attention and commitment here at Petit & Dommershause, SC.
I am committed to providing my clients with personal and effective representation. Our firm understands that positive results don't just happen. They take the proper knowledge, skill, attention to detail, and hard work.. I am originally from Indiana where I attended Purdue University and recieved my bachelors degree in sociology with a focus in law and society. After graduating in 2015, I attended law school at Marquette University where my primary focus was in litigation. I was admitted to practice law in May of 2018.. Although Petit & Dommershausen has three locations, I am located in our Oshkosh location: 2001 Bowen Street, Oshkosh WI 54901
I chose to practice law because I enjoy analyzing problems, researching solutions, and advocating for people. I am a strong believer in defending every right of every client in every proceeding, whether it's a criminal matter, a divorce, a guardianship, or a contract dispute.. As an undergraduate at the University of Kansas, I majored in Economics and Spanish, and earned departmental honors in Spanish. I enjoy coffee tasting, Star Trek, and spending time with my husband and cats.

Adam practices in the areas of probate law, estate planning, and criminal matters in the Birmingham area and throughout Alabama. Adam combines his backgrounds in public accounting, tax, business planning and advisory, legal expertise, and litigation to deliver quality service to each individual, family, and small business that he represents.. Adam, a native of Leeds, Alabama, attended the University of Alabama, where he earned his Bachelor and Master degrees in accounting in 2005 and 2006. The State of Alabama certified Adam as a Certified Public Accountant in 2007, a credential that he continues to hold. In May 2014, Adam earned his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham and was admitted to the Alabama Bar later that year.
After a career as an Officer in the United States Air Force, I decided to attend law school at Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. I enjoy being in court, fighting the good fight for my clients.. Most of the cases I handle are criminal defense and DUI cases. I really feel that I can make a positive impact in my clients' lives by fighting for them when they are arrested. A lot of people get charged with crimes they just didn't do. For example, when one person in a car has drugs in his possession, everyone in the car may get indicted on felonies even if they didn't know about the drugs. Also, many times I find that the police and prosecutors overcharge people. Instead of charging people with the crime they committed, they charge them with a more serious crime. For example, in one case my firm handled, the police arrested our client for assault for shooting someone in the leg. When the prosecutor prepared the indictment, he asked the Grand Jury to indict on attempted first degree murder. We fought for the client and got rid of the attempted murder charges.. I also handle a good number of personal injury cases where my clients are injured in automobile accidents. Before I started practicing law, I thought that auto accident law was relatively straighforward. But now I see that clients need a skilled advocate in their corner who is well equipped to fight a multi-billion dollar insurance industry if they ever expect fair compensation. In some of the cases we have handled, we have gotten settlements or awards that are many times higher than the client would have received if they had tried to settle themselves or gone with an attorney that isn't well versed in this practice area..
