Ana-Cristina Jiménez, or Ana-Cris as she prefers to be called, was born and grew up in Miami, Florida. She grew up speaking English and Spanish at home and counts this as one of the greatest gifts her parents have given her. After graduating Salutatorian of her high school class from Westminster Christian School in Miami, Ana-Cris chose to attend Duke University in the fall of 2003. While attending Duke, Ana-Cris realized that her calling was to help people and the best way she could accomplish that goal was to go to law school and become a lawyer. She enrolled at Wake Forest University School of Law and graduated in the spring of 2010. She passed the bar exam in the spring of 2011 and was sworn in on April 15, 2011.. Ana-Cris' practice includes family law, criminal law, traffic tickets and immigration law. My practice concentrates in the area of family law.  Since 2012 I have been a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law.  I primarily handle cases in Eastern North Carolina, and am prepared to handle them related to settlement, trial and appeal if necessary.  I welcome consultations with clients to consider and address their family law questions.  Our office strives to provide excellent legal representation through close work with our clients.  We are also able to resolve matters prior to lawsuits being filed, through the use of separation agreements, and settlement negotiations with adverse parties and/or their attorneys.  In regard to equitable distribution matters, our office has been involved in many complex cases involving varied business interests, property interests, and assorted business entities.  We strive to reach the most favorable outcome for our clients under the particular facts of each case.

My name is Elizabeth Radnothy (formerly Thueme) and I graduated from Campbell University School of Law in 2017 and University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2012. I practice primarily in the areas of estate administration, estate planning, family law, and civil litigation. I serve primarily the area of McDowell and Buncombe County but often can be found in neighboring counties.

Transplanted from Michigan, I attended Western Michigan University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Literature. Fortunately, I can include the University of Cambridge and Michigan State University to my educational experience as well. I then went on to receive my Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest School of Law.. A twisted sense of humor and passion for individualism, settling down in Western North Carolina was only natural for me. Having been licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Oregon by sitting each state's bar exam, I look forward to expanding my primary practice from North Carolina to sister southern states. Personal recreational passions are summed up by adoring my dogs and running everywhere I can get a plane ticket.. I concentrate mypractice in the area of family law with extensive experience involving finances, child custody, and domestic violence.  These areas are often complex and can be very emotional for the parties involved.. For 2012 through 2015, I was recognized by his peers and named a “Rising Star” attorney by Illinois Super Lawyersmagazine, a designation limited to less than 2.5% of lawyers under 40 years of age in the state of Illinois.. I am a board member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division (2008 – current).  Within the Young Lawyers Division, I serve on the Children’s Assistance Fund Grant Subcommittee, which seeks to provide grants to organizations across the state related to children and law.. I am currently an adjunct professor at John Marshall Law School where I co-teach a course titled “Family Law Advocacy,” which teaches students to effectively and compassionately assist survivors of domestic violence in a divorce or paternity action.  Through this course, I have partnered with Between Friends to offer legal assistance to victims of domestic violence.. I am one of the founding members of the Associate Board of the Legal Aid Society (2010 – 2014), which operates as the legal arm of Metropolitan Family Services.  I previously served as the chair of the Pro-bono Committee. With the assistance of another board member, I implemented a Family Law Mentoring Panel to assist pro-bono attorneys when volunteering their time. I also teach the Simple Divorce Training to pro-bono attorneys with the Legal Aid Society of Metropolitan Family Services.. In 2011, I volunteered at the Cook County Domestic Violence Court Project to assist victims of domestic violence in obtaining orders of protection.
