Matt began his legal career as a legal services specialist in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1998, then as an attorney in Fredericksburg in 2007. He is the founding partner of Select Law Partners, PLLC, a full service family and estate law firm serving clients in Virginia and North Carolina. In addition to providing assistance to clients, Matt serves as managing partner of the firm.. Matt received his B.S. from Campbell University and his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law. He grew up in Dumfries, Virginia and spent all of his childhood in the Dumfries/Woodbridge area. During his tour with the Marines, Matt worked with the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and Quantico, Virginia.. Matt’s primary focus is on family law (divorce, military divorce, custody, support, property division). The lawyers in his firm also focus their practice areas on estate planning, criminal and traffic defense, and general civil and business matters.. Matt is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Virginia and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Eastern District of Virginia.. Matt is also an active member of the Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association, the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Virginia State Bar Sections on Family Law, Military Law, and Trusts and Estates.. Locally, Matt is active with Friends of the Rappahannock and the Fredericksburg Area Chamber of Commerce.. Ms. Danca earned her Juris Doctor Degree from St. John's University School of Law in 2013.  She was also a member of the Journal of International and Comparative Law and New York International Law Review.  While studying law, Ms. Danca realized that she wanted to work in the field of matrimonial law after participating in New York State Court's Access to Justice Clinic wherein she represented low-income litigants in uncontested divorce cases.   Ms. Danca earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Villanova University in 2009.  As an undergraduate, she concentrated her studies in psychology, which has been invaluable to her skills as an attorney and advocate. Ms. Danca's analytical abilities, problem solving skills, legal creativity, and commitment to her clients make her a valuable asset to Stern & DeRossi, LLP.  Her compassion and enthusiam for assisting families result in satisfied clients and the advancement of the firm's growing practice.Ms. Danca is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, New York County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.  She is certified in divorce mediation.
