Lori A. Granat is a 1993 graduate of Clark University with a Bachelors Degree in English. She continued post-graduate studies in English literature at Trinity College at Oxford University, Oxford, England. After having worked in the insurance industry for a number of years, she chose to return to law school and graduated from Western New England University School of Law in 2001. While in law school, Lori was a member of the Negotiation Moot Court team that won a national award in settlement negotiation. After graduation, she worked at small law firms, before establishing Buzzell & Granat in 2006 with Christine Buzzell. Her areas of practice include divorce mediation, family law, the probate of estates and small estate planning. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Worcester County Bar Association.. Attorney Granat’s focus is to provide individualized service to each client, recognizing that each client has specific needs. A native of Chicago, Illinois, but 11-year transplant to the Boston area, Attorney David Aleksic opened his Law Office in Winchester, MA in June of 2011, returning to the practice of law after 5 years of doctoral studies in Philosophy at Boston University, also obtaining from there a Masters Degree in Classics with an emphasis in Hellenic studies. Prior to graduating from Northeastern University School of Law and joining the Massachusetts Bar in 2003, David lived abroad in the former Soviet Republic of Ukraine in the city of L'viv for 3 years where he taught Latin and English at the college level. During and after law school David worked in a small law firm in Worcester, MA where he concentrated primarily on auto and home owners insurance defense and coverage issues. He then practiced for several years as a contract attorney at various large firms in the Boston area focusing on different types of transactional and complex discovery matters. During that time he also served as an adjunct faculty at both the Bedford and Lowell campuses of Middlesex Community College, teaching courses on the U.S. Legal System and Business Law for associate degree students and Litigation for paralegals. David will draw off his practical and academic experience to continue to provide sound, quality legal counsel and representation to the residents of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, with an emphasis on the areas of general civil litigation and Real Estate. David lives with his partner, Olya, in Winchester, Massachusetts. Their two daughters, Katherine and Emily, both attend local elementary schools.
