My practice includes a number of interrelated areas.  My real estate, probate, estate planning and tax experience and expertise assist me in my work with divorcing clients.  I have developed an area of mediation in my practice ("mediation to stay married" or "marital mediation" that uses mediation skills to assist couples who are experiencing difficulty in their marriage.  Most of my work is non-court related, including negotiated divorces, collaborative divorces and mediations.  I work with a great team of people in my firm -- 3 other lawyers and a paralegal.  In the past few years I have started writing articles -- on marriage, divorce, mediation, and other topics. They are located on the articles page of my website and are a good start in addressing your issues and getting to know me and my firm.

My practice concentrates in real estate, corporate, trust and estate, and personal injury law.  I possess extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate transactions and condominium conversions, as well as corporate law, business formation, business mergers and acquisitions, estate planning, and trust and estate matters.  In addition, I am counsel to several privately held entities in various industries (such as retail stores, restaurants, transportation companies, personal service companies and medical care providers). I am an elected Town Meeting Member in Natick, Massachusetts, and am a member of the Board of the Natick Affordable Housing Trust.  I previously served for two years as a member of the Brookline, Massachusetts Economic Development Board, a twelve-member board responsible for advising the Town Selectmen regarding business, real estate and economic development matters.  I am a member of Bet Tzedek, a program that provides pro bono legal assistance through Jewish Family and Children's Service.  I am a certified title agent of Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, and a member of both the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts.

Hello, and thank you for your interest in my practice!. I am originally from Princeton, Minnesota.  After graduating from the University of Minnesota - Morris, I moved to Boston in 2010 to attend New England Law | Boston.  After graduating in 2013, I passed the Massachusetts Bar Exam and began work in a small biotech start-up in Cambridge, MA.. After a few years there I realized that my true calling was to devote my time and energy to helping people attain their dreams of owning the right home, whether that's their first home, an upgrade, a downgrade, or even refinancing to live more comfortably in the home that they love.. My practice primarily involves residential and commercial real estate transactions.  I have experience in buyer and seller representation and in the representation of financial/lending institutions.. I seek to network with buyers and sellers of real estate, mortgage brokers, bank representatives, real estate agents and real estate brokers located in the Greater Boston Area, North Shore, South Shore and Metro West. Though my main office is located in Newton, MA, often times you'll find me on the road in any given part of the state in order to better serve my clients and contacts.

Curt brings significant civil litigation experience to the firm. He has advocated for both plaintiffs and defendants in civil cases, including trials and motions. His well-developed negotiating skills have helped clients realize their goals for over twenty years.. Curt is responsible for the firm’s thriving probate, divorce and family law practice and is very active in zoning and land use issues. He is an aggressive litigator whose extensive courtroom experience enables him to zealously represent his clients in both courtroom and administrative settings.. Curt also oversees Bletzer & Bletzer’s dynamic real estate practice. He possesses significant real estate experience and is a registered agent of numerous title insurance companies. He is also a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts. As a result of this experience, Curt and the firm are able to serve their clients’ every real estate need.. Curt also represents numerous clients in the areas of criminal law. Prior to joining Bletzer & Bletzer in 1990, he had a successful career as an Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County from 1988 to 1990. While in the DA’s office, Curt’s tried numerous cases and served as a member of the Homicide Response Team.. While enrolled at Boston College Law School, Curt began coaching Varsity Football at Boston College. He coached the linebackers under Head Coach Jack Bicknell from 1985 until 1990. Curt was also a Past President and is currently an Executive Board Member of the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston. He is a member of the Benevolent Association of Elks and serves the community in his role as a Past President of the Brighton Board of Trade.. Curt was born and raised in Brighton, MA and graduated from Boston Latin School. He is married to the former Kimberly Young and resides in Medfield, MA with his wife and three children, Caleigh, Kevin and Curt.

Courtney E. Ziegler is a graduate of the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts where she received her Juris Doctor degree.  She worked part time as a paralegal at the Law Offices of Flood & Favata throughout college and law school before joining the office as an attorney.. Courtney earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she majored in Legal Studies and minored in German Studies.. Courtney has worked for the Law Offices of Flood & Favata since 2002.  She is married and lives with her husband in Northborough, Massachusetts.
