A native of Fergus Falls, Rob received his Bachelor's degree cum laude in three years from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.  He attended the U of M Law School and received his law degree in 1980 before returning to Fergus Falls to join his distinguished hometown firm.. In addition to his busy practice, Rob remains an active community volunteer and leader.  His leadership efforts include: serving as the current President for both the Fergus Falls Area College Foundation and the Fergus Falls Area Community Foundation, Past President of Lakeland Hospice, United Way of Ottertail County, his Kiwanis Club, and the Fergus Falls YMCA.  Additionally, he has served as a United Way campaign leader, and helped to lead the YMCA building expansion.. Rob and his wife, Gretchen, are active members of Grace United Methodist Church.  They both have a background in competitive swimming and enjoyed watching their three, now grown, children participate in the sport.  They now spend time helping other children enjoy the sport.  In addition, Rob enjoys singing in a men's chorus and with his church choir.
