Attorney Cassandra Harris-Starks is a member of both the Michigan and Florida Bars.  She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.  Before entering the legal profession, she worked as an Import Trade Analyst with the Internatonal Trade Administration in Washington, D.C. and as a Systems Engineer with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Troy, Michigan.  After completing her legal education, she worked as a staff attorney with UAW Legal Services in Detroit, Michigan and in private practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan.. Cassandra has a passion for people as demonstrated by her choice to work in legal services, her community work as President of the local high school Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), trustee at her church, her many philanthropic interests, and now her decision to start her own law firm in the areas of immigration, wills and trusts.  Her mission is to help people realize their dreams and to meet the needs of their families.

Erin James is a lawyer from Cleveland, Ohio. While attending Case Western Reserve School of law, Erin served as an Executive Editor of the Journal of Law Technology and the Internet and completed an internship in Uganda. She is a graduate of Cleveland State University with a BA in International Relations. Erin then acquired a Master’s in International Relations from Webster University where she studied in five countries including Switzerland and China. Erin has a passion for serving the immigrant community.

Vania Stefanova is the head of the Immigration Litigation Division at Herman Legal Group, providing services in removal/deportation defense and appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals. An immigrant from Bulgaria, Vania has over 20 years of experience in immigration law. Throughout her successful career, she has handled matters in all areas of immigration law. From family-based immigration such as relative and fiancé petitions – to business/employment and investment immigration (e.g. E, L, R visas, EB1/2 immigrant petitions) – to naturalization, Vania works tirelessly to give our clients the best advice and outcomes possible.

I began my legal career in 2000, soon after receiving my Juris Doctor degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.  During that time I served as an Associate with the Journal of Law and Health and also as a Judicial Extern in the U.S. District Court in Cleveland, Ohio, drafting opinions to be reported by the Court.. I am licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio and authorized to practice in US Immigration courts.. I began my own law practice in 2001.  Areas of concentration include immigration, small business and drafting of wills.. I am a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Sourthern Poverty Law Center.

I travel extensively and have lived in India, Egypt, Bangladesh, Italy.  These world experiences have givem me a unique perspective while working with people of different cultures and nationalities.

Attorney Maya Lugasy received her Juris Doctorate Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio, and she is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio. Maya graduated from the Ohio State University Cum Laude with a double major in Middle Eastern Studies and Hebrew, and a minor in Economics. During college, Maya also attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she studied Hebrew. Maya joined Robert Brown LLC in 2018. Since that time, she has focused the majority of her practice in removal defense and family-based immigration.
