I sincerely believe that no person is illegal and that we need immigration reform to resolve a broken system.  I consider immigration law to be a calling as part of a deeply held religious belief in the concept of Tikkun Olam, which in Hebrew means repair the world.   No human has the right to tear apart families united by God  and we must work within our legislative process and judicial decisions to change our immigration laws in an orderly process.. Julie Sparks is a board-certified specialist in immigration and nationality law.  After more than a decade of practice exclusively in the field of immigration law, she has represented immigrants from more than 70 different countries.  She has helped hundreds of individuals and families achieve legal status in the U.S. in cases involving marriage, citizenship, domestic violence, torture, and charges of deportation/removal in immigration court.. Originally from the former Soviet Union, Veronica and her family came to the US as refugees in 1988. Settling in New York, Veronica attended prestigious Performing Arts schools where she continued her musical education.  She always knew, however, that she was destined to do other important work, to serve a different purpose, to serve the immigrant community.. Thus, after relocating to Houston and receiving her Bachelor Degree from the University of Houston, Veronica attended the University of Houston Law Center.  While in law school, she participated in the renowned University of Houston Immigration Clinic, where, under the tutelage of the late Professor Joseph A. Vail, she was able to provide legal services to victims of domestic violence, displaced individuals seeking asylum, and others in need of pro bono services.  After becoming licensed to practice law in 2003, Veronica started her own immigration law practice successfully representing a culturally diverse and varied group of clients..
