I am a Liberian-born Attorney who immigrated to the United States at a young age. My faith is the driving force behind my passion of being a voice for those who are, seemingly, voiceless. I am dedicated to zealously representing my clients, in and out of the courtroom.

Brittany Faith is head of Abbott, Weiss’ Immigration Practice Group. Ms. Faith has extensive experience serving clients throughout the world with their immigration needs, including family-based immigration petitions, employment-based petitions, and humanitarian relief. She is committed to providing personalized, cost-effective immigration services for her clients around the world and across the U.S.. Ms. Faith is a regular contributor and speaker on immigration for organizations such as the American Bar Association (ABA), the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC), Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC), the Tennessee Bar Association (TBA), as well as numerous local bar associations, non-profits, and media outlets.. In addition to her role at Abbott, Weiss, Ms. Faith serves her community as a leader through her involvement in bar associations. She currently serves as one of the twenty-one nationally elected Elected Directors on the AILA Board of Governors and as East Tennessee Governor for the TBA. Ms. Faith also has served in many leadership roles as part of the ABA and TBA Young Lawyers Division (YLD). She is especially proud that she was part of the reinvigoration of the Southeast Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women (SETLAW) and served as President in 2015. She was also honored to be selected to serve on the Tennessee Administrative Office of the Courts Immigration Task Force. At the local, state, and national level, Ms. Faith improves her community and profession through consistent leadership and service to others.. Ms. Faith’s dedication and skill has earned her numerous accolades including the 2021 Joseph Minsky Young Lawyer Award by AILA for her outstanding contributions made as a young lawyer in the field of immigration and nationality law, the 2019 “ABA on the Rise- Top 40 Young Lawyers” award, and the 2023 University of Tennessee’s Volunteer 40 Under 40 Award. In 2020, Ms. Faith was selected for membership in the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, in which membership is limited to one third of one percent of all lawyers in America. She has been nominated to be a Super Lawyer Rising Star since 2017, and she maintains a 10.0 Superb Rating from Avvo.. When she is not working for the betterment of immigration practices and the legal community, she spends her time cooking, gardening, and enjoying the company of her husband, Justin, and two children, Bennett and Adeline.

Michael grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and played football at Oak Ridge High School where he was an all-region offensive and defensive lineman. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 2003. He attended Centre College in Danville, Ky., where he majored in Spanish and history. Michael earned all-conference honors as a member of both the football and track teams while at Centre. He also had the opportunity to study abroad in England, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Nicaragua. Michael’s trip to Nicaragua inspired him to seek employment in Latin America after graduation, and he accepted a position teaching English in Valladolid, Mexico. Michael met his wife, Lissie, while working in Mexico. They have since moved back to Oak Ridge, where they live with their son and daughter.

Isabel I. She received her Juris Doctor from the New England Law| Boston, were she graduated Cum Laude in 2015. She has been practicing law in Worcester, Massachusetts and Lowell, Massachusetts specializing in the practice of family law and immigration law. Her practice area includes family based immigration, deportation/ removal cases, asylum, business immigration, divorce, custody, paternity, modifications and all post-divorce litigation.. Trisha Chokshi is a founding partner of Chokshi Filippone Law LLC, with offices in Mount Prospect and Chicago. I came to the United States at 11 years old. My mother won a Diversity Lottery in 1995 and migrated to the U.S. alone. My father and I later joined her. The journey of having our family reunited was difficult, but my mother navigated the interactive law and policies of immigration law to bring us together. Having lived through that, I wanted to become an immigration attorney to ease the process for others. Immigration issues are an important aspect of my life since I have experienced firsthand the negative and positive aspects of the United States Immigration laws.

Carolina T.
