Heather L. Garvock is a lifelong resident of Michigan and a graduate of Eastern Michigan University (B.S. summa cum laude, 2005) and Wayne State University (J.D., cum laude, 2008). She is currently Of Counsel to Ellis Porter, PLC where she dedicates her entire practice to immigration law. Prior to joining Ellis Porter, Heather was an associate attorney with Legalquest Network, PC, where she assisted individuals with solving their immigration problems and reaching their immigration goals. Brad grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2004. After graduation, Brad lived in Honduras, Costa Rica and Mexico where he taught English. In 2005, Brad launched his career in immigration as an Americorps Vista Volunteer in Miami, Florida assisting with refugee relocation. He has gained significant experience working at four immigration law firms and in a law school immigration clinic. Brad’s tasks have exposed him to a diverse array of permanent resident and temporary visa applications. Brad has focused his knowledge on the fundamentals of immigration court proceedings. In 2017, Brad was a selected as a Rising Star in immigration by "Super Lawyers". The Mexican Consulate in Detroit contracts Brad to provide immigration legal representation for Mexican nationals throughout Michigan pursuant to Article 1(a) of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. Brad is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and he founded the Washtenaw County Bar Association Immigration Law Section. Brad is fluent in Spanish and a graduate of Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan.

She graduated with her Juris Doctorate from Ave Maria School of Law in May 2006, and she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with minors in political science and accounting from Madonna University in 2003.. Outside of the office, Ms. Mackmiller is an avid sports enthusiast, and she enjoys spending time outdoors golfing, camping, hiking, and playing basketball and softball. With Michigan's diversity of weather and beautiful landscapes, Ms. Mackmiller spends her downtime exploring the coastal and northern Michigan areas with family and friends. As a former college athlete, she also enjoys gathering with friends to watch college basketball and football.
