Garrett Johnson joined Elrod Pope Law Firm in September 2011. His primary focus is personal injury/serious accident cases. Garrett earned his Juris Doctorate in 2010 from Wake Forest University School of Law located in Winston Salem, NC.. While in law school, Garrett had many impressive accomplishments which included either winning or being a finalist in several prestigious mock trial competitions. In 2008, he studied abroad in Venice, Italy under U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Prior to joining Elrod Pope, Garrett worked as a legal intern for the United States Congress in Washington, D.C.. In addition to working at Elrod Pope Law Firm, Garrett is an active Attorney Coach volunteer for the High School Mock Trial Program.  This program provides students with an extracurricular activity to learn about due process.  The goal of Mock Trial is to educate students about the basis of our American judicial system and the mechanics of litigation.  Garrett works with Fort Mill High students involved in this program and in 2012, they made state finals.

Meeting new people, coming up with innovative ideas, and offering reasonable solutions to problems are my passions. A good friend of mine and fellow lawyer calls me a "Reniassance Man" because I have unique interests and hobbies which include raising pastured beef cattle, flying airplanes and drones, learning and speaking about legal technology, working with my hands, making knives, and operating heavy equipment. I don't consider myself anything but lucky to be able to meet new and interesting people and engage in activities that challenge my mind and dexterity.. Part of what I like about practicing law is learning what drives people, what they do, and what they have been through that has brought them to an attorney.
