I graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1996, and Brigham Young University - Idaho in 2003 (majoring in Music Performance and French).  I earned a Masters Degree in Musicology from Northwester University in 2004.. I spent the next few years as a Profeessor of Music History and Music Appreciation at South Utah University in Ceder City before attending law school.. I graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2011 and joined my father's law firm in Port Angeles. I currently practice with my father and my younger brother who recently joined the firm.

I am a life long Spokane resident with the exception of the four years I spent doing my undergraduate work in psychology at the University of Washington.  After UW I returned to Spokane and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Gonzaga University School of Law.. After law school, I joined the firm of Layman, Layman & Robinson, PLLP.  I have a diverse practice focusing on assisting those who have been seriously injured whether that be on the job, because of a product product defect, or in a car crash. My background in psychology has also directed my practice towards helping those who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.  I also practice in other areas involving complex civil litigation including medical malpractice, construction law and employment law..
