I am a litigation attorney with more than 20 years' experience.  I am licensed in Washington, Hawaii and North Carolina.  Recently, I have relocated to the Asheville, North Carolina area, and I am a litigation attorney with the firm Allen Stahl & Kilbourne, PLLC.  Too often in legal matters, common sense and compassion are missing.  After practicing law for more than 20 years, I have developed exemplary skills as an attorney; however, I always bring common sense and compassion to the table with regard to my clients' situations.. I was raised in Southeast Asia as the dependent of a CIA field officer. Shortly after returning to the United States, I attended Vassar College and graduated with a dual degree in Old and Middle English and Music, with a minor in Physics.  I worked in New York City for several years, performing research related to the Stock Exchange, for Smith Barney.  I was raising my three young brothers at the time, and we eventually moved to Hawaii where I lived for 13 years.  There, I attended the William S. Richardson School of Law to obtain my J.D., graduating second in my class.  I was invited and participated in law review, while continuing to compete in moot court competitions. I always had a strong interest in litigation and advocacy, and during law school I participated in moot court competitions around the country.  I also participated as an editor on law review.  My husband and I left Hawaii in 2002, to settle in the Seattle area.  I started at a large Seattle firm, but find I do my best work in a smaller firm environment, where my focus can be on the client and getting results. I established my own firm so that I could offer my clients even more flexibility and where I could be available directly to them. I have now joined an up-and-coming firm of talented litigators in Asheville, North Carolina.. My practice is devoted to civil litigation with a focus on real estate, construction law, municipal law and appellate practice.  However, I have experience handling a wide variety of civil cases, including employment law, property damage claims, contract disputes and land use issues. I have handled administrative and APA cases.. I am accessible to my clients and personally handle their cases.  I am happy to meet with clients after work hours or on weekends to accommodate their work schedules. In the age of the COVID-19 virus, I offer zoom meetings and remote conferencing so that there is no risk to my clients' health and safety.. I am licensed and in good standing in Washington, North Carolina and Hawaii.  I also have experience practicing at the appellate level, including before the Washington State Court of Appeals (Divisions I and II) and at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Firm: Kuehner Law Firm, PLLC

Kevin Kuehner is a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney* in Syracuse, New York.  He handles cases where people have been hurt.  He has many years of experience in representing people with life-changing personal injuries. He represents clients who have been killed or hurt due to motor vehicle crashes, medical errors, work-related injuries, negligent property owners, faulty products, and nursing home neglect and abuse.. Kevin’s Background. Kevin was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania and grew up in the Binghamton, New York area. The son of a member of the construction trades and a social worker, Kevin has an understanding of hard work and a heart for service to others. As young as middle school, Kevin spent his summers working on major commercial construction and renovation projects with his father who by then was a construction manager. Long days and a focus on meeting deadlines were important, but with family working on the job site, Kevin was taught that safety came first. Seeing a few on-the-job serious injuries (and many near misses) taught Kevin that even a momentary failure to follow safety rules could have devastating life changing consequences.. Later, for several years Kevin served as a director for a New York State program for people with multiple disabilities, including those profoundly affected by traumatic brain injury and anoxic birth injury. This experience impacted Kevin by showing him how vulnerable and dependent the injured can sometimes become and how their needs could far outstrip the ability of an average family. This experience taught him the life-long financial and emotional costs required to help those with serious injuries.. In addition, Kevin worked as a chemist and quality assurance technician for a major industrial employer in Central New York. In that job Kevin learned how important safety rules were for protecting workers. He saw how a responsible employer puts emphasis every day on protecting workers though comprehensive safety training and enforcement.. Education. Kevin was an honors graduate of Le Moyne College and went on to graduate with honors from Syracuse College of Law. While in law school, he received specialized training in trial advocacy and was twice recognized by the New York Bar Association as the Best Trial Advocate in the Northeastern United States. He also received the prestigious International Trial Lawyers Award as the Best Advocate.. Kevin Kuehner has been teaching others his entire career. He dedicates a great deal of time to providing education to other lawyers through the bar associations. In 2014 he was awarded a prestigious award by the Onondaga County Bar Association which recognized his commitment to the education of other lawyers in the community. He brings his commitment to education to each of his cases and all of his clients. The entire firm is focused on making sure the clients know the process and the plan for how their case will be handled.  As you explore this website, you will find many resources to help you better understand your life-changing injury.

I have been a practicing attorney since 1986.  I was raised in a large Greek- American family to care about people and make a difference in my community.  My father has been a Greek Orthodox priest for over 50 years and my parents taught me and my siblings that "you make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give.". For the past 30 years, I have represented the victims of  personal injury against corporations,  insurance companies and their insureds who have caused serious injuries to my clients.  I have had the opportunity of handling complex  personal injury lawsuits and cases and my law firm, Hagelgans & Veronis, has recovered over 400 million dollars in settlements and verdicts for our clients since its establishment.. My goal and mission is to treat all of our clients with respect and handle their cases in an expeditious and conscientious manner.  I have learned that people may forget what you said to them and over time even what you did for them,  but they will never forget how you made them feel.. I am grateful for all my blessings which include an excellent education, a successful and challenging legal career, a beautiful family and quality relationships in life.  In representing so many diverse clients,  I have learned that what Booker T. Washington once said is so true:. "Success in life is to be measured not so much by the position one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he or she has overcome while trying to succeed. " I try to do the right thing everyday and live by the maxims of one of my heroes who said:  In this life, we cannot all do great things but we can all do small things with great love."
