For my business clients, I assist in the full life-cycle of traditional and high-technology ventures including privacy regulation and compliance, choice of entity and formation decisions, partnership, capitalization and financing, contracting, licensing and intellectual property matters, and the resolution of business disputes and other challenges. For my real estate development clients I focus on real estate development, affordable housing, permitting, land use and zoning matters, as well as the corporate, partnership and other business and litigation issues inherent in the business of development. In addition, I am an Adjunct Professor of Law at the New England School of Law where I teach Legal Research and Writing. I am also active in my community, serving as the director of the Under 14 Program for the Framingham United Soccer Club and as a coach for a U8 team and a U14 boys team. When not injured, I play soccer and am a bicyclist and jogger (when not recovering from soccer injuries). I serve on the Zoning Board of Appeals on Framingham and am proud to be a Member of the Board of the Michael Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton. Jacob has been practicing law since 2000, when he was admitted in Missouri. He was admitted in Kansas in 2014. He has represented a wide variety of clients in State and Federal court, and has extensive trial experience. Jacob currently represents commercial and residential general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consumers in construction related cases. He also represents sureties in claims litigation. Heather is a founding shareholder at Brown & Ruprecht, PC. Her practice specializes in the areas of construction and surety law and commercial/business litigation.
