My practice is focused on civil trial matters.  There is nothing I like better than standing up in a courtroom and zealously advocating for my clients. This is one of my core values-zealous advocacy.  I tend to think well on my feet and this helps me adapt to changes while in court when it comes to presenting a great case for my clients.  I also have a great team behind me.  We work together to reach the best possible outcome for my clients given their circumstances.  Sometimes the best solution is resolution and other times it is litigation.  Whatever the circumstances I aggressively advocate the best position for my clients.. My dad was a plumber and he taught me how hard work can pay off.  I don’t let anyone out work me.  The facts may not be the best or the law might be an uphill battle but no one will work harder than me on a case.  That is one of my core values. .. Being the youngest of five my siblings liked to tease me that I was “spoiled” by my parents.  What I learned however was to be thankful for the things I have and the gifts of friendship by others.  Gratitude is one of my core values.. Since joining the Bruno & Bruno firm, Stephen has successfully litigated over 1,000 cases, recovering over $100 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients. Although Stephen has placed a special emphasis on maritime personal injury, he has used his trial skills to obtain successful judgments in a variety of civil cases, including successions, oil and gas, wrongful death, product liability, automobile accidents, premises liability, defamation and slip-and-falls.. I have been an attorney at Kurzban Kurzban Tetzeli & Pratt, P.A., since 1995 and was made an equity partner in 2013. In 2015, 1 was admitted to the Hawaii Bar and the Hawaii State Bar Association and I am of Counsel with the prestigious law firm of Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert.. I have successfully represented my clients as lead trial counsel in all areas of tort. However, the bulk of my practice concentrates on medical malpractice, product liability and personal injury on behalf of plaintiffs. While my main office is in Miami, I have successfully litigated cases throughout Florida and the United States. My nationwide practice emphasizes cases involving the misdiagnosis or improper treatment of kidney disease. As lead counsel and co-counsel in several major cases I have obtained exceptionally favorable verdicts for my clients to obtain the justice they deserve.. I have served as vice-chair of the Dade County Bar Association Trial Section (2001), and on the Board of Directors for the Florida Justice Association (2004). 1 have been to Tallahassee, Florida several times in connection with the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers to lobby and construct litigation aimed at protecting injured victims. I have also directed and participated in courses to implement a permanent attorney ethics and responsibility curriculum in conjunction with the University of Miami School of Law.
