Constance G. Clark was born in San Diego, California, on May 7, 1955. She attended Vanderbilt University from 1972 to 1974 and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1976, where she was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. with Honors from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1979. While in law school, she served as an associate editor of the Arkansas Law Review. Connie joined the Davis Law Firm upon graduation from law school. She has served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Washington County Bar Association and as a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, serving in its House of Delegates from 1990 to 1993. She was appointed as a Special Associate Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court in 1991 and 1996 and served two terms on the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Civil Practice, including as Chair of the Committee.
