Born in Marshall, Searcy County, Arkansas, Ralph graduated from Little Rock Central High in 1958. He was a member of Central High’s 1956 & 1957 undefeated Tiger Football Teams. An accomplished athlete, Ralph was awarded the National Championship by Sports News Service of Minneapolis 1957. He lettered in Football, Basketball & Track and was awarded a five year full Track scholarship to the University of Arkansas (1958-1963). Ralph was inducted into the Arkansas Track & Field Hall of Fame in 2002 as well as inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Industrial Engineers in 2005.
