Attorney Kimberly N. Moreno is a zealous advocate for her clients in their family law cases. Attorney Moreno’s approach is to gain an understanding of her client’s goals so that she can provide them with all of their options and possible outcomes. She believes that her clients are the best decision makers in their cases because every decision made is going to affect their lives. Kimberly sees it as her role to provide her clients with the options and strategies and the legal knowledge to make those informed decisions.. Kimberly has always wanted to give people a voice in the legal system and this drove her decision to pursue a legal career. Helping people navigate the court system and assist in getting them a fair and reasonable outcome that they will be happy with has always been her goal. While in law school, Kimberly interned at the Women’s Bar Foundation assisting clients with their family law cases. She also worked in the family law clinic in her third year of law school.. After graduating law school and passing the Massachusett's bar, Kimberly began working with DOVE, a multidisciplinary domestic violence organization, where as an attorney she worked with victims of domestic violence with their cases involving high conflict custody, child support, parenting time, contempt hearing and removal cases. Kimberly was also extremely active within the organization, running monthly workshops, attending quarterly roundtables with other legal services agencies, and attending Family Law Task Force meetings.. Following her work with DOVE, Kimberly continued her family law practice with Sugarman Rogers Barshal & Cohen, P.C. where she dealt with cases involving more complex division of assets and discovery disputes. She also began working as a volunteer attorney through the Volunteer Lawyer’s Project where she helped provide legal assistance to pro se litigants in family law matters on a limited representation basis.. Kimberly joined Divorce Matters to continue her family law practice here in Colorado where she provides her clients with the best possible legal representation. Family law is her passion, and she has been in this field throughout her legal career. When she isn’t advocating for her clients in the courtroom, she enjoys skiing, camping and spending time with her family.

I am an Estate Planning Attorney & Mom of Three and I absolutely LOVE what I do. Helping families ensure that their loved ones are adequately protected is my passion, and I feel so lucky to be able to guide my clients through the process.. My hope is to build long-lasting relationships and friendships with my clients and to become a trusted advisor through the many changes life brings.. Originally from Houston, Texas, I graduated from Texas A&M University and moved to Colorado for law school just after graduation. I received my J.D. from The University of Denver College of Law in two and a half years and was admitted to the Colorado bar in May of 2004. In addition to being an attorney, I am also a licensed real estate broker and I love to dabble a bit in real estate in my spare time.. I am the proud mom of three incredibly hilarious, smart and loving girls. Becoming a mom in 2011 made me realize that I would do anything for that little person and that her needs now came before mine. This is the same philosophy behind having a well-organized estate plan in place – it is not about you, it is about your loved ones. They will be the ones to benefit from your estate plan. Getting your affairs in order is truly an un-selfish and proactive choice you can make on behalf of your family.. When I’m not helping families make choices for protecting their loved ones, I enjoy spending time outside with my family, running, yoga and a good craft beer. I look forward to helping you and your family and to becoming your lifetime trusted advisor.
