Firm: Dean Neuwirth, Attorney
950 S Cherry St. , Denver , Colorado 80246
Practice Areas: Appeals
My practice handles appeals from trial court judgments, in both civil and criminal cases. For every year since 2006, I have been listed in the field of appellate law in The Best Lawyers in America (www.bestlawyers.com) and in Colorado "Superlawyers" (www.superlawyers.com).. I was taught to perform appellate work by former Colorado Supreme Court Justice Jean Dubofsky. After Justice Dubofsky decided to leave the bench, she became a private practitioner for a number of years before her recent retirement. While she was in private practice, I had the privilege of working with her on many appeals in the Colorado state appellate system and the federal appellate system (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit). Through her, I acquired the knowledge, experience, and judgment to become a good appellate lawyer.. In an appeal, the quality of the legal briefs is especially important. I have repeatedly been told by trial lawyers, and I have heard indirectly from judges, that the legal writing in my appellate briefs is particularly clear.. I am a 1986 magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University Law School, and a 1982 summa cum laude and phi beta kappa graduate of Princeton University.

He is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Amicus Committee, and is one of Denver’s leading appellate attorneys.. To date, the Denver sports talk radio market has been uninterested in John’s opinions.
