Prior to joining the firm in 2002, I worked for the Aurora Public Defender where I tried more than 50 jury trials. I have lectured before the Colorado Bar Association, Boulder County Bar Association and at other programs on topics such as probate litigation and ethics. I am a member of the Executive Council of The Colorado Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and a member of the Boulder County Bar Association. I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee. I earned my B.A. degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, and my J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. When I am not in the office, I spend my free time with my wife and two young daughters. I also enjoy golf, skiing, fantasy football and pulling for my beloved Oklahoma Sooner football team.
