Samantha K. Levasseur focuses her practice on workers’ compensation and employment law defense. Tara Bonzani began working for Carter & Civitello as a lawyer in October 2015. Since that time, she has assisted Attorneys Carter and Civitello in handling workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability cases.. She was born in West Haven, Connecticut and has resided in Connecticut most of her life. Tara worked as a legal assistant and paralegal for the firm from 2003 through 2012. During her nine years at the firm, she handled all Social Security Disability cases and received her BS in Sociology from Southern Connecticut State University. Today, Tara still handles the majority of Social Security Disability cases in the firm.. In 2012, Tara left Carter & Civitello to attend law school in Washington, D.C. at the University of the District of Columbia, David A. Clarke School of Law, a public interest law school widely recognized for its legal clinic program. While attending law school, she was elected Treasurer of the Women’s Law Society and completed over 700 hours of legal work as a student attorney in the Juvenile and Special Education Law Clinic and the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic.
