I was born in Griffin, Georgia. I attended the University of Georgia where I received a B.A. in History, magna cum laude, in 2007. I then attended the University of Mississippi School of Law where I graduated in the top ten percent of my class, magna cum laude, in 2010. During law school, I served as a member of the Mississippi Law Journal’s editorial board.. I previously worked with an insurance defense firm in Bluefield, West Virginia for two years.
